Favorite quotes, fitness and non-fitness related

I just heard this one today:

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there." Will Rogers. This one certainly applies to fitness but can also apply to many other aspects of life. I think I'm guilty of it and I need to remember it.

My most favorite one is this:

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt. When I find myself feeling inferior (which usually happens when I'm among people with more education than I have) I try to remember this. It really is so true. It's very empowering and it makes me feel better.

I may be mis-quoting here but this resonates with me:

I've learned that even if I have pains I don't have to be one.

This kind of keeps me in check when I'm feeling cranky or moody.

Everytime you open the FitOn app it gives a motivational quote and they have some really good ones! (Yes, I refreshed my app to get these ).

  • Holding a plank is good enough. Showing up is good enough. Subscribing is not good enough. You've got to meet me here everyday. (Brooke Burke during one of her workouts... gave me a good laugh )

Linda, these are great! I love "What if it's just a hill?" I can really relate to that one.

I recall a lot of people here have really good ones in their signature lines as well.

You don't have to be fast, just keep moving forward. what I tell my dogs as they get older and slow down on walks
