Good morning!
I felt bad after my Covid shot yesterday (I got the booster on Monday) - just very sore and tired, so didn't do my planting. I'm hoping to get that done today before it gets too hot out there. I also went to the Ramsey County office at the library here yesterday after trying to pay property taxes online, but either my bank or the site wouldn't work to take my money. I had sent my property taxes in in March, but they never showed up at the county - I cancelled that check. Planning on a walk with Gus also. This afternoon he'll meet an orthopedic specialist to see if a surgery is needed. Right now, Gus is walking a bit better on that leg if he has his painkillers in him.
Laura, a job producing webinars sounds like something up your alley, but if you're not feeling a good thing about it, it's nice to walk away. Have fun making your cards! Right now i'm doing fine here at my house, but I do curse a bit when I'm shoveling my driveway or doing yard projects like spreading 9 cubic yards of mulch!
Moving to a condo or apartment would relieve me of that. I'd like a place that knows you and interacts with you a bit like the co-op, and being senior (62+) is a good crowd for me instead of having little kids around. I did think about moving back to Madison, WI, for my retirement, but the politics there are getting a bit weird. I like the Twin Cities, but would like to stay in the corner of the town I know best. The place i'm looking at is just independent living, no assistance, but hopefully they have a referral system if needs arise for assistance.
Paula, Congratulations on becoming a great great aunt!
Yeah, I want to move before I can't do all the support for my current home - there will be another round of painting for the garage and shed and inside in two rooms. I want to keep my house very turn-key for selling and moving. If things don't turn out with the co-op, my money would be refundable and they'll get someone else in there in a day or two. I just want to be in line prepared for it if it's a good place.
Waves to all!
Anita
