Cleda - another problem is too many choices! I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. Good luck with the outdoor training. I agree about the outdoor hills being different than on a stationary bike. There really is no comparison.
Helen - thanks for the insight into Boss Bands, as I usually avoid longer workouts.

4/3 - dog walk
4/4 - dog walk
45 Min. Walk & Run w/ Susie Chan
10 Min. Donna Summer Post Run Stretch
4/5 - dog walk and gardening
Getfitwithrick 80's Walk as a warm up

How are you finding Cee? I've watched a bit of her, but doesn't look to be my kind of thing. I noticed the plants, like that the fiddle-leaf fig is gone in the 40-4-40 series.

CLEDA
How'd you go getting a bike gadget? Still humbled by the prospect of the ride you're planning!

Helen - I like Lift with Cee, more than I expected! No compound moves, heavy weights with slow movement and no annoying chatter. Once I realized that she lists the weights she uses in the notes on YouTube, I have a better idea what weights to use. Her program is meant to be done 3 days/week, but I am doing it once a week, so I probably won't see much in the way of gains. I think I would dread them if I did them as intended. I often find myself staring at her plants, but these are the only ones of hers that I have tried, so I wouldn't have noticed the missing fiddle leaf fig.

4/6 - dog walk
15 min. dance type workout on YT, can't remember her name.
30 min. RPM #90

I had planned on a Peloton ride, but my app froze before I could begin, so I switched to Les Mills. I am not used to their terminology, so I don't know if it was that much harder, or I just made it harder. It was a good ride, but I should probably go through their ride tutorials before I try another.

Good morning (checks clock, yes it is still the morning).
Rose quite late as I'm now on 2 weeks holiday!

So you should expect to see more of me - you know that pattern by now.

LILI
There are so many decent workouts on YouTube now - I save them as I've been caught before with things being taken down. Since I'm on holidays, maybe I'll actually try some YT workouts I've marked: Cee, Sydney, & Caroline are high on my list.

WAVES for CLEDA!

Friday 8th - total slothdom - first night after end-of-term.
Saturday 9th
30min, brisk dog walk - caught a break in the rain
44min, Cathe - Body Blast Series - Timesaver - Workout 3 (Step, Biceps, & Core) for chrono
52min, Les Mills - Body Balance 31 these include meditation at the end

Saturday - it is Saturday right? CATCH UP

Good Morning Ladies! I need to catch up. I came and read at some point, but that's as far as I got. So, let me check in instead of just reading!!! (best laid plans and all) ...

Let's see where I left off. . . .

4/3/2022: Power Zone 45 mins, 30 mins. Bradly Rose Classical ride, 20 mins. Matty total Body Stretch, Post ride stretch

4/4/2022: 45 mins. Power Zone ride for the challenge

4/5/2022: Rest day

4/6/2022: 60 mins. Power zone Ride, Post Ride Stretch

4/7/2022: rest day

4/8/2022: 16 miles OUTDOORS on the bike (YAY ME!!!)

A little of this and that:

My garmin that I owned from a long time ago, still works PERFECTLY! I used it outdoors and it was fine. Told me my MPH, my trip time, total time, elevation, etc. I did not use the heart rate monitor as I wanted it more of a FUN ride and not so much the stats. (I can get hung up on them if I allow myself too - yeah - no kidding? and outdoor rides are for FUN not for training!) But I digress. The split screens work, I also have a touch screen on it, there is a map, so I was very happy/pleased that it worked. I don't know how long the battery lasts though, so i will still get an old fashion, simple odometer to use also, just in case the Garmin doesn't make it a full century on one battery charge! (Who knows?)

I hope to read up on it this weekend, get it set up the way I want and be ready for my next outdoor ride. It was only 61 degrees out (which for me is cold on the bike.!!!) My nose ran, my ear hurt, the wind was pretty strong. (Headwinds slow me down, tailwinds give me wings!) but it's all part of outdoor riding. I was able to remember how to shift, and clip/unclip. Different feel than the peloton but my legs are STRONG as are my lungs. Many of the tough(er) little hills seemed much easier. Life is good.

Oh - and despite having gained a little weight in the last 6 months? I'm still way lower than I used to be and my cycling jersey? Looked like it belonged to someone else because it was so big. YAY ME ... Now to get back to better eating and drop some of the weight I refound.

So, now I only have to do that 4x and I'm ready for the metric centruy in May! hahahahahahaha! It's also totally different when riding with people and the adrenaline rush, etc. So, I just need to keep practicing. (Think I've used "SO" enough in my post?) .....

Still taking too many rest days. But that might change. (might not) and I'm not beating myself up for it. Timing with the challenge. This week ramps up and I know that two of the rides will be tough. Hoping to knock one out today! still ahead of schedule on that which I need to continue as I will be away from my bike for 4 days and I need to make sure to get all my rides done.

WAves to all and thanks for shouting me out Helen!

Gotta run. Or row? or ride?
Make it a great day!

Cleda - Congrats on the outdoor ride! I always say that I don't like the wind, because unlike a hill, you don't know when it will be over. However, that's one of the aspects of outdoor riding. Maybe my bike will make it off of the rack this year?
Helen - Enjoy your holiday! Sounds like you got off to a good start.

4/7 - dog walk
Gilad's Total Body Sculpt #2
20 Min. Motown Walk w/ Joslyn

4/8 - Long dog walk in the county park that we can walk to. The dogs had a blast and I enjoyed looking for the spring flowers that pop up here and there.

Reading in bed after a good first day. No longer going out to the farm tomorrow as planned as it’s been raining so much my car can’t cross ghe weirs to get there - need a 4WD.

CLEDA
Super chuffed that the Garmin still works - the battery didn’t corrode on you!
Congratulations of the outdoor ride and especially on your riding top being too big.

LILI
We have quite a few autumn flowering plants here and there’s one around that smells lovely but I can’t find what it is - just wafts in on the breeze.

After midnight, about to turn light off keen for an even better day tomorrow.
Good night my friends.

PS
Committing to:
Cathe - Body Blast - Supersets, for Chrono
Something else with Kathryn done
14+ steps even if it has to be around the house due to rain done
Some kind of yoga, as little as 15min will do done
Start the weeding and cleaning done
There ! My day is planned.

Sunday 10th
75min, Leslie Sansone - Ultimate 5-Day Walk Plan - All 5 Days
45min, Brisk pace dog walk
48min, Cathe - ICE - Metabolic Total Body
15min, Down Dog App - Yoga - Nidra

Weeding begun - one clearly defined section is done
Cleaning begun - ktichen, easiest because it's done daily anyway, but more detail today
14k steps achieved before 6:30pm
Scheduled to jump with Kathryn at 7:30 = the Cathe ICE. It was HARD, so Supersets isn't going to happen - shift forwards to tomorrow's plan.

4/9 - 45 Min. Pop Bootcamp w/ Callie (this kicked my butt!)

Helen - You really crushed it today! Let it rain! Did you have the volume turned off on the Leslie? I don't think I could listen to her for 75 minutes. You may be the one who gave me the idea to listen to a podcast and mute her, which really helps.

Waves to Cleda!

No, didn't turn Leslie's volume off - walked through the whole thing!

Monday
Nope - didn't do Supersets. BUT, it's because my hamstrings, glutes, biceps, & triceps are SO SORE from the ICE-Metabolic Total Body yesterday! Kathryn & I opted for "short, mild cardio" tonight.

60min, brisk dog walk, with Motion Traxx
33min, Cathe - Step Boss - Step Synch - Timesaver 1 (Combos 1+2) Mix
also weeding, cleaning, & digging/potting ponytail seedlings. Sure I must have 100+ by now! Not sure what I'm going to do with them all though.....

Have a great Monday!
