Again, many thanks for the great suggestions. So far, I've been subbing glute bridges in some of my DVDs (instead of yet another set of lunges or plie squats). It's easier on the knees!

Yesterday, I did Margaret Richards' Getting Better. She has a weighted glute bridge section. I used a body bar and did fewer reps.

While out visiting a couple of garage sales on Saturday, I ran across someone selling the bun and thigh rocker (bright blue... maybe it said roller?) and it dawned on me that the movement this and the similar piece of equipment that is by Body by Jake is essentially a very similar movement. Do any of you still have that equipment?

Also - I am commenting remotely so I am not spending a lot of time looking back through the thread, but I thought I would mention that Cathe does unweighted glute raises / hip thrusts in Gym Style Legs and Pyramid Lower Body. (I think maybe the glute raises in GS legs *might* have some added weight in one section. I can't remember exactly.) Anyway, just adding this to the list of video options.

I looked at the clip and list of exercises for Gym Style Legs and that has several kinds of glute lifts and raises.

http://shop.cathe.com/fitness_videos..._DVD_p/644.htm

"Floorwork Legs
Tibialis anterior toe pulls
Glute squeezes on the ball
One legged Roll Outs on the ball (this goes right into glute presses)
Glute Presses on the ball
glute tucks w/step and band
Roll In's on the ball
Inner thigh squeeze on the ball
Inner thigh lifts w/band
vertical outer thigh press w/band
outer thigh raises w/band
Stretch"

I've had the video for a while and haven't even tried it. Thanks!

Alta, please report back when you do! I haven't bought anything Cathe in a long time, but this one looks interesting to me.

It is a fryer whichever way you do it... all of GS Legs or just the floorwork but if you do them as a full workout - OUCH! (A good ouch!)

I did the floor part of GS Legs yesterday. It was tough and I couldn't do all the reps. My glutes were burning. I thought I'd be sore today, but nothing.

I do like the workout and want to do it regularly for a while and see what happens. I'll probably alternate the standing and floor routines on different days. I like to work legs twice a week.

Yesterday, I did Slim Series: Firm It Up. It is a leg workout. Towards the end, there is an approximately ten-minute glute lift/squeeze section which practically had me in tears. I didn't use any weights. I can tell that there is a difference in strength between my left and my right glute.
