Quiz on AMC about the scandal in Britain regarding the quiz show "Who Wants to Be Millionaire". It's only three episodes, but it's compelling TV.

We watched My Spy, and The Old Guard this week. Both excellent movies.

I think My Spy was Amazon Prime and The Old Guard was Netflix.

I'm also a love of historical fiction, so I'd vote for Poldark out of those three. It's visually beautiful (and I don't just mean Aiden Turner!) and I love those characters. Watching the show inspired me to read all 12 of the novels.

If you have Starz, I recently watched The White Queen, which I thought was very well done (there is quite a lot of nudity and sex in the early episodes when Elizabeth Woodville first meets King Edward, but it did not strike me as gratuitous). I'm now watching Pillars of the Earth on Starz -- can't comment yet because I just started but it certainly has an impressive cast (Rufus Sewell, Matthew Macfadyen, Eddie Redmayne, David Owen, etc.).

Finally, if you haven't watched Sanditon on PBS it was really great.

I enjoyed Sanditon as well, but you should know that it was not renewed for a second season. This does not bother me, but it made a lot of people furious.

thanks! because of your responses, we've been watching The English Game.

question about PBC Passport - do some regions offer Passport for free? it seemed that way when i entered my zip code. i haven't actually clicked on watching an episode yet (Victoria is one of the series).

There are frequently some episodes that are offered for free for a limited period of time. To be able to view everything that is available, I believe you need to make a monthly donation.

Thanks! I watched the first episode last night and it's just the right blend of interesting but not too complicated and a bit off-kilter that I need at the end of the day right now.

I've been bingeing Victorian/Regency series/movies. I'd never seen the BBC remakes of Sense & Sensibilty or Jane Eyre -- both great. Now I'm watching the Ang Lee S&S version. I'll probably follow up with Emma (Romola Garai) because I love Jonny Lee Miller.

Between Prime/Hulu/Netflix, not to mention the ones I have on DVDs, there are a ton to watch!

Emma was the last movie I saw in a theater. It was a fun version.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel! I was late to the party and actually binge-watched all seasons last year, just got my husband to watch the pilot this week and he's in! I'm excited to watch it again with him. We also love Mom. Oh, and Never Have I Ever (can't recall it's on Amazon or Netflix) is pretty delightful.
