Anyone have Bret Contreras results (besides hip thrusts)?

In the spirit of starting new threads and creating more activity....

I've seen a lot of BC chatter mostly pertaining to hip thrusts which I've added myself and used for improving my glutes.

Has anyone added more of his program? What did you add and what were your results?

Did you do this in addition to another routine or, did you follow his (Strong Curves, Booty By Bret etc) and how did these add your workouts?

Are you still doing them? If not completely, did you continue individual aspects?

I tack hip thrusts onto my weights workouts. I like the looks of this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HoO-wfBZagk but I've yet to really give it a go.

That looks simple. I think that's my problem, I think everything he shows is excellent but I get lost when I try to work it in. I never ever follow rotations (except the one 2lazy4gym did...that's my only success!) but I feel like organizing all his research & info into an actual rotation or workout schedule is overwhelming and I give up.

Eta: I can do that on a leg day and feel satisfied, thanks for posting it!!

I almost always add hip thrusters in my leg days. I also do a few other glute moves here and there as well.
And I've noticed my booty is more rounded and higher. So I'm very happy.

I've preordered his new book so I'll let you know what I think about it.

I read his book and did his bodyweight program for a couple of weeks. And I added hip thrusts and frog pumps, another exercise he didn’t invent but that I got from him.

Like many weighted programs from books, you would need a well-equipped gym to fully implement his programs.

I've only added weighted glute lifts and find them better than squats and lunges. I have issues that make squats and lunges uncomfortable. But, I can do glute bridges with no ill effects. They do improve my glutes. I often sub the lifts for other exercises in videos.

The only workout I have that actually has weighted glute lifts where you can go heavy is Kelly Coffey-Meyer's Muscle Up.

Sagi Kalev has one I did when I had BBOD. He added raising calves when doing the lifts which made mine so sore the next day.
