I went old school with yoga

I have been using you tube for yoga for a very long time. I decided to pull out one of my very long neglected dvds this morning. I did the first practice on Yoga Zone's "total body conditioning." I enjoyed it. I think I will do practice 2 tomorrow. I may continue with my dvds and take a you tube break.

Does anyone else use dvds for yoga anymore, or is it all you tube and paid streaming sites?

Mostly dvds for me, but when I'm up for a short practice (think 10 minutes) I usually jump to youtube.

I don't do as much yoga as I used to, for some reason. I generally do You Tube for short practices.

But I am finding myself more drawn to my DVD collection for all workouts right now. I think I'm a bit burned out on the streaming and feeling overwhelmed by all the choices - not like my DVD collection doesn't offer me a lot of choices...
But it does seem easier to narrow down somehow.

One of my favorite DVDs ever is Yoga Zone Flexibility and Stress Release filmed in Jamaica. It might have been my first yoga DVD? I just looked, it's from 2002. I learned a lot from it.

I also like Yoga Zone's Evening Stress Release. I don't have the DVD anymore, but it's on YouTube.

I have almost all the Yoga Zone dvds. I rarely do the longer ones but I really liked them. The yoga/meditation DVD led by Alan Finger is lovely. I may do it soon.

Well YouTube frustrates me so although I have practices I have previewed and saved...I never turn to them. I always use DVDs.

I'm pretty sure Sherry clued me in on YZ. And love all the yogazone I own (they're in my never purge category). The length are the sweet spot and the scenery is just so refreshing.

I'm doing mostly short YouTube yoga practices as a cool down but understand the appeal of going old school.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the "Yoga Zone Power Yoga for Strength and Endurance". I love how it works the legs. I do it once or twice a month on DVD. It's a classic, IMO.

I also have Bob Harper's "Yoga for the Warrior", "Total Yoga - The Flow Series (Fire)", Baron Baptiste's "Soul of Strength" and "Power Vinyasa Yoga" on DVD. They're ok.

I've looked at streaming subscriptions and You Tube, but don't use them. Having so many choices, literally, gives me anxiety. Isn't that the point of doing yoga in the first place? LOL

***Does anyone have any recommendations for workouts similar to Yoga Zone's Power Yoga for Strength and Endurance? i've been trying forever to find something similar. I'm willing to subscribe to whoever it is, because I would know exactly where it is and not sit in front of my TV for 30 minutes trying to choose a workout.***

I always use DVDs for yoga. I am very picky about the type of yoga that I like so I stick to a very small group of workouts. I don't want to spend a lot of time searching through videos on Youtube.
I am not a fan of Youtube in general, I just find it cannot match the quality of most DVDs. And I love the fact that I own the workout and get familiar with the moves over time. I do use use Youtube from time to time - the other day I only had a few minutes so I picked an upper body workout from Growingananas (sp?). I did not like it - there was no talking so that's the first strike, and I just found it way too hard on my shoulders right off the bat.
