Janice Lennard Yoga review!

Here are some of my thoughts on the new Janice Lennard Yoga dvd-
beautiful studio, brick, natural light
beautiful, non obtrusive music, very zen
Janice does the workout alone, instruction is voice over

Janice goes through the workout at a good pace, continuous flow. I would rate this workout as intermediate to advanced. She assumes you know the poses, she does not stop to do form pointers or explanations. She shows advanced options-she says "we can go into a split here" which by the way, is not going to happen for me.
This is an ageless workout, any age intermediate or advanced yoga devotee will love this workout. I am not aware at any time of being a senior, or being instructed by a senior.
In the first 15 minutes or so there are a few chatteraunga to up dog to down dog.We move quickly through these poses. There are no sun salutations.
at about 30 minutes, she goes to the mat for the last half of the workout, this is really delicious.some of the poses i cannot do but can aspire to.
Janice is ethereal and amazing. Her presentation of the poses seems flawless to me-she is a ballerina so her flexibility is amazing.
This workout is work, not a relaxing stretch.
I would not recommend for beginners, and for intermediates, you must know how to modify for yourself. Advanced, you have just found your new favorite yoga workout.
hope this is helpful. I could not actually do the whole workout because I am still recovering from that knee problem.

yes that is correct. I am worried that I should rate this advanced.

I do not think they are chaptered but the yoga is 30 minutes standing, 30 minutes floor if that is helpful.

Thank you for your review, Donna. I agree - from the brief clips on her site, she moves with effortless ease and grace and instructs beautifully. Do not think I'll be getting this one however.

Thanks, Donna. I passed on all three of Janice's DVDs because I thought from the clips, she is not really teaching, but rather leading, and I need the instruction for all three genres. Janice is beautiful, though, and very fit.

yes, that is a good distinction, leading versus instructing. which is why I would rate the yoga intermediate to advanced, and more to advanced. not for beginners.
I am high intermediate in pilates so I rated the pilates intermediate to advanced but actually it could also be advanced.
