Arrow Binge-watching: May 2023

I spent the holiday weekend binge-watching a great Star Trek documentary series:

The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek

Free on Prime and very entertaining.

(For a Star Trek fan.)

Thank you VVFer! Big Bubble has Prime, so I may have to look into that.

I'll be binging Queen Charlotte, I'm sure, sometime in June or July

Have you seen Picard Season 3? I loved it so much. It was everything that was great about the original TNG and had all the old characters.

Finished watching 2 seasons of Alex Rider (Prime) with my daughter.

Watched the two seasons of Sweet Tooth on Netflix. Enjoyed it!

Now I’m working my way through the final season of Doc Martin.

So far I watched the Mary Tyler Moore and Donna Summer documentaries. I will watch the one on Tina Turner next.

Netflix - FUBAR with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Really entertaining and humorous 8 part series about a father/daughter CIA team.

Paramount - Fatal Attraction with Joshua Jackson. A reimagining of the movie which was actually pretty good except for the very end (which had me shaking my head, lol).

HBO Max - Life & Death with Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons. Another series about Candy Montgomery who axed another woman to death in 1980. I think this was better than the other series with Jessica Biel.

Dh and I watched the first two eps of FUBAR and enjoyed it.

I finished Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Now I want to live in a seaside town in South Korea lol. I’m going to start Crash Landing On You next.

I finished the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I enjoyed this season, but the first season was the best. I don’t think the other seasons came as close in quality.

On Acorn TV, I watched an Irish drama called The South Westerlies. I liked it, I hope there’s another season.

Happy Valley. the third and final season is on AMC+ and BBC America. Sarah Lancashire is great as always.

Also Astrid on PBS on-demand was also great . Almost as good as Seaside Hotel.

On Prime there's a good one about Chuck Leavall. He's played keyboard for many bands and some hits I had no idea about. He tours with the Rolling Stones a lot.
