So interesting to hear people's experiences!

I've often been curious about barre instructors, how they're trained/compensated. A local independent studio offers a $500 weekend training. And Fred DeVito is coming to the Core Fusion here to do Barre teacher training--two weekends for a whopping $2,000! But first year of certification is included! You have to pay to renew annually after that, and actual CF teachers have much more rigorous training, so it's not like you'd be able to apply for a job there.

PS--I took a local independent studio class with an older instructor and I LOVED her! She was probably late 40's/early 50's. She had lots of personality and gave good instruction. Didn't ignore me even though I was one of the more advanced students in the class. It was nice to see someone who appeared to be older than 25! Apart from P57 instructors, she was one of my favorites.
