Today I did Heather Robertson's Brutal Booty. I like to mix up unweighted or lighter weights with heavier for legs, and this is unweighted.

Cynthia, we get weather like that in Portugal for sure. Enjoy the sunshine!

Monterey is hours away from Los Angeles, in case you've read the L.A. flood warnings.

Check-in: Barlates Tighter Assets day 3. I really like this program, but prefer not to do it every day. It really is total body.

90min dog walk, before it became TOO hot, but still managed to get a tad sunburnt on my shoulders - should have worn sleeves.

I don't set an alarm for Sunday morning, but I don't usually sleep for 10 hours, so I missed my pool time this morning. It's raining persistently but not heavily. But the winds are fierce and many trees (not in my neighborhood) have been blown over. I put my garbage and recycling bins at the curb on Sunday, for Monday morning pickup. They were almost immediately blown over. At church today, the lights flickered a few times, then stayed off. I don't live in a posh part of Monterey County; I fondly call my town Cheapside (really it's Seaside) but we're close to the former Fort Ord where I suppose they couldn't risk power outages. I've heard that we're on the "Fort Ord grid," and whatever that means, we almost never lose power. Unlike Carmel and other places where rich folk live.

My choir rehearsal for this evening was cancelled. Parts of highways one and 101 were closed.

I plan to do some yoga at bedtime. Tomorrow I might do something from 21 Day Fix, in honor of its 10th anniversary.

4-Sun
60min dog walk in the morning - still hot. Went down to the river, & walked with the view, amongst sporadic bits of shade from trees, but walked back to the car on the non-view side for the total shade of the buldings.
• Cancelled a planned workout with a friend around 2pm, we sat in the A/C & chatted instead.
• DID a workout with another friend at 7:30 (with the fan going), and chose a modest no-weights resistance workout (no cardio!) that was only 20min: GrowingAnnanas - Back to Basics - Day 10 Total Upper Body
Steps = 6585

Monday - it hit 95F, nothing to report yet, as not long home from work (no A/C in classrooms) - it was brutal.
