I don't have a lot on my to-read list right now. After I finish Elizabeth Is Missing, I'm going to read the three books that follow Stones from the River. And I'm looking forward to the last book in the Practical Magic series by Alice Hoffman that is coming out in October.

I have found myself binge reading/listening instead of watching tv lately.
I am currently re-reading/reading the Maisie Dobbs books from #1.
I had read a few back awhile and since it's been so long...I decided to read them in order one after another. It's been lots of fun. And each is very good.
Just finished #9 Elegy for Eddie and moving on.

I’m currently reading two books. A non-fiction “Remember” by Lisa Genova (author of Still Alice and a Harvard educated neuroscientist). My grandmother and her two sister’s had Alzheimer’s and now my mother’s two younger sisters have been diagnosed. I’m a co-caregiver for one of them (the other one is in a memory unit of an assisted living facility) and it’s so sad to see their decline. With my family history I’m terrified of getting it myself.

I just started Night Road by Kristin Hannah. I’m enjoying it so far.

She's one of my favorite authors. I read Remember recently and thought it was very good. I'm so sorry about the situation with your family and your (valid) concern for yourself. Seeing loved ones go through that must be so hard.

I finished In Pieces, a memoir by Sally Field.

I will be starting Anxious People, a novel by Fredrik Backman.

I finished Elizabeth is Missing and I'm going to follow the author, Emma Healey. I'm waiting for Floating in the Palm of My Mother's Hand by Ursula Hegi.

I enjoyed both of these books and was surprised at how much I liked Sally Field's.

I'm reading "Rock Me on the Water: 1974—The Year Los Angeles Transformed Movies, Music, Television and Politics." I like it, but it's not what I expected - it goes into way more detail and history than I really want so I am skimming some parts. It is very interesting, though. I just finished "Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body," which was very eye-opening and gave me a lot to think about. I had mixed feelings about the book but I'm glad I read it.

I blew my no-buy with The Library of the Dead by TL Huchu, a fantasy about a 14 year old girl in an alternate Edinburgh who can speak to ghosts, but it was worth it.

Inadvertently continuing a theme, I'm now reading The Librarian by Salley Vickers which was passed along by a friend and has been on my shelf for a while. It's not bad and I'm enjoying all the references to old children's books.

Erica, sounds like you are really reading some interesting non-fiction stuff!

I'm reading HEAT WAVE, an okay summer read from Nancy Thayer (I find her style a bit simplistic and unrealistic).

I'm also reading another book by Western-based Buddhist meditators, VOICES OF INSIGHT.
