Do you have any weight lifting gloves or thin weighted gloves? They may help?

Gale I hope you're still swinging with us and having no issues!

Day 4 was another lighter bell for me. One arm swings are fun especially when you switch but I am not confident enough to go very heavy with them. Day 2 and Day 3 are my fav sequences so far though.

Good job everyone...good to see you join us Pam61 and manley!
I thought about that (I had only seen it a few times before, didn't know the why of it) but it scares me to death for some reason. - the towel thing, sorry i didn't make that clear, haha Blessings (I'm still at it!!)

I feel the same about the towel swings. I don't know if it's my grip on a towel or the strength of the towel that I don't trust but I've been afraid to try them!

Linda, thanks so much for asking Lauren!

I think I might have tried the towel swing when I was learning KBs years ago. I certainly think it is something worth trying, but I also think that there are probably ways to make swings more comfortable for large thighs/larger bodies without having to do a beginner's exercise.

Jenilu, I might have lifting gloves around somewhere. I've never really felt comfortable using them, though; I feel like I have less confidence gripping weights when I can't feel them directly, if that makes sense.

All this talk about stance width inspired me to measure mine. It's about 2 feet from slightly-turned-out to to slightly-turned-out toe. In case it matters, I'm about 5'4" and have long arms for my height.

From the first metatarsal or forefoot to forefoot, I'm 20 inches apart.

Beth How about adjusting your rhythm or increasing your hip hinge?

You might try recording yourself and see if that would help?

I know if I don't hinge enough and really shove my lovely booty back enough then I don't get the power I need and my rhythm gets wonky doodle.

Good point. I didn't even consider needing a wide stance. In fact, all of this talk about stance has me wondering about my stance. Something I never even really thought about before but guess I should. I've just been swinging away!

And you sure don't want your rhythm to be wonky doodle!

Cynthia, how very cool to work out with Tracy Reifkind! It was her book The Swing that got me started with KBs last year.

I did Day 2 today, first time doing 1 arm swings and it was challenging but made it to the end. Knowing there aren't too many left helps a lot LOL!

Enjoyed Day 5. Did the 2-handed swings with my 20 lb! And then the one-handed swings with the 8 kg.

Last time I did one of these swing weeks, a VFer posted a list of the moves. I'll do that after day 7. Lauren will keep the videos up for a little while, but then they're taken down/disappear.

Found my printout of the listed moves. http://www.forum.videofitness.com/sh...d.php?t=227258
