TGIF!!!

I feel like I need to channel Rip Van Winkle and sleep for about 20 years, but then I'd miss my time off next week!!

Good morning everyone! Kept it low key yesterday - the DOMS in my quads from Cee's pistol squats reached epic proportions. After work I kept rubbing them with arnica and rested with a heating pad over my lap, tea and a book. In the morning I managed:

~ Kassandra Yin Yoga & Affirmations for Health
~ Lee Holden 30 Day Challenge - Day 19
~ 3,737 gimps for the day

My DH is really cute. I told him about the 40-4-40 plan and he told me "But you need a 6 minutes for 60 year old plan."

Cyana, I hope you get some rest.

Pam, enjoy your new set. PT totally gets boring. Speaking of digital toys I treated myself to the Bellyfit spring bundle AND started subscribing with Ellen.

Sandra, you enjoy your new Jessicas too!

Fitness Becomes You (Volume 1, Program C: Upper Body workout; Volume 2 Program C: Lower Body workout)

I had a good workout with Margaret this morning!

Sandra, I also bought Jessica's Stretch & Relax DVD. I'll be interested in hearing how you like Jessica's Split Strength DVD once you have tried it.

Pam, I look forward to hearing what you think about Jessica's new set!

Cyana, you're going to love your week off work!

Pat, pistol squats are HARD!! I can't do them.

Sunday:
~Qi challenge day 13
~BellyFit live zoom Full Moon Flower Power - fun & uplifting as always
~Strength circuit day 2
~Dog walk
~Long stretch & yin poses

Monday:
~Qi challenge day 14 - I’ve fallen off the wagon with this one, might just restart in June
~Strength circuit day 1
~Dog walk
~Short hip focused stretch

Tues:
~Taught Essentrics
~Long stretch & yin poses

Wed:
~Taught Essentrics
~Strength circuit day 2
~Long stretch & yin poses

Thurs:
~My friend’s Essentrics class
~Jessica’s Walk 5 K: w/u, 1.5 km, c/d, about 40 min - This was nice! The warmup was very mobility, joint & fascia release focused. I will take some of this into my Essentrics classes
~Jessica’s Stretch & Relax: Recover segment - Also very nice and will take some of this to my classes as I often use a chair for stretching, especially in my all standing classes.
~Yin yoga class by the fire

Paine - I googled pistol squats, my knees would protest loudly, yikes!

Pat - Enjoy your new BF purchases! I like to do a month of Ellen here and there, she’s so likable and her workouts are accessible.

I just got back from a neighborhood walk with my 3 year old grandson. He is identifying more flowers and trees on our walk.

Margot, I found out that Season 2 of Reacher will be on the book Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child. I already read that book but I might re-read it to have it fresher in my mind. I like to see how the movie is different from what I envisioned in the book.

Pat, it's a rare occasion when I attempt a pistol squat.

Pam, it's both! I am scheduled to move offices (returning to the main health and counseling building) on Monday, and then Friday is my last day before my 2 months annual leave. I think I will be returning to a mess in August!

We are actually going to start an educational TikTok account for students. There's nothing on it yet, but it will be here (we filmed a short video today that I am in):
