I have liked the Vega shakes I've tried and they have a wider range than the basic chocolate/vanilla/berry options of most brands.

A couple of people I know who have sensory processing disorders and/or just aren't interesting in food beyond its nutritional value speak highly of Soylent's products. It started out as a pretty basic shake a few years ago but they have recently expanded their line and I've seen it at CVS.

I use Fairlife Core Power shakes which are not vegan and have milk. I like the taste of the vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavors. There are a couple of different formulations out there. I think the ones that taste best have 26 grams of protein and 170 calories.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've been eating a tomato sammich every day for lunch because it's safe. (Thank goodness for a productive garden!) But some variety would be nice!

(I also make my own smoothies and have one nearly every day. I can make mine quickly but have also made them the night before.)
This is interesting! A few years back I believe I had H1N1 and I lost my sense of smell from it - it did eventually come back. But a friend suggested zinc to help. Zinc supplements tend to make me nauseous, but I tried it for a little while...

I’ve had success with Soylent and Slate chocolate milk. When at home I would make a smoothie with Greek yogurt, greens, and a handful of berries. My senses have since returned but things with several ingredients taste like poison. For example soda and Doritos.

They're not exactly ready-to-drink but I can't recommend the smoothie recipes on this site enough. I've never made one that wasn't yummy!

All the other recipes on that site are great too, for when you get your taste back and want to venture beyond liquid meals.

Well, those of you that regularly make smoothies, what blender do you use? I have an ancient blender that needs replacing (I never ever use it; it’s at least 20 years old). Maybe I’ll just get a blender tomorrow at the big box store. Anybody have/like one of those personal-sized ones?

Interesting! My senses returned a while ago, but about 5 days after my vaccination, things went off. Instead of being gone/muted, things are super gross. My oldest is experiencing a similar thing, except everything tastes like it had peanut butter on it! So weird.

Funny that you mention chips and soda and multiple ingredients. I have definitely had better luck with simple foods (raw fruits and veg, cheese, milk, sandwich turkey). Anything seasoned is iffy. And I tried chips and soda this week. No go. The chips were weird and the soda (Diet Pepsi) tasted like Dr. Pepper, which I hate.
