31. GYM STYLE: Legs (standing only) + Lean Legs & Abs (Chair, firewalker, floor, stretch). P.M. Yv2: WISI

…april 2022…

1. GYM STYLE: Back, Shoulders & Biceps + ZUMBA MAX: Zumba Max 2
2. ICE: Rock’m Sock’m Kickbox Scrambled Premix #1, 72mins. This has become my 2nd favorite Cathe kickbox workout. The music is great and the routine is fantastic, lots of core work, not too much impact and a high step count, over 7500 steps.
3. XTRAIN: AOLIH Timesaver Floor Premix, 22mins + ZUMBA JTP: 20 Minute Express
4. KATINA Hunter: Interval Party Combo Mix Premix, 33mins + Yv2: WISI, 11mins
5. …rest day…

6. XTRAIN: Cardio Leg Blast - Timesaver 1-6 Premix, 34mins + Yv2: WISI, 19mins. P.M. Yv2: SS, 15mins
7. Yv2: SS, 13mins + ROB GLICK: Hi/Lo Fusion. Finally did my taxes today.
8. GYM STYLE: Chest & Triceps, 45 mins + ZUMBA: Zumba Max 2, 30mins. I did 2 sets of all chest exercises. Didn’t shave off a lot of time but more doable as far as how it felt on my wrists. I used my new 2# Cathe micro load gloves today. Love.
9. GYM STYLE: Legs (standing), 44mins + XTRAIN: Legs Bonus Barre/stretch, 19mins + ZUMBA: Advanced, 37mins.
10. ZUMBA JTP: 20 Minute Express + GYM STYLE: Back, Shoulders & Triceps. Love!
11. KATINA HUNTER: Interval Party, 60mins
12. ZUMBA: 20 Minute Express + KAREN VOIGHT: YogaFlow, 23mins + Si6: Slim & Limber. My second time doing YogaFlow. I’m a little more flexible than the last time I did YF and I love Karen’s instruction. S&L is always wonderful, just basic stretches that feel so good. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day weather wise. We will be in perfect conditions for a cold/warm front smash up. That means straight line winds, hail and tornado watches/warnings. Joy! I hope it all happens before night time rolls around.

13. GYM STYLE: Legs (standing, tibialis, stretch). I almost called it, woke up tired.
14. rest day…. Definitely tired, so a rest day is in order. May take a few more rest days.. it’s been while since I had a recovery period and these GS workouts are kicking my butt. The weather was a non event for my area yesterday, just lots of rain.
15. GYM STYLE: Back, Shoulders & Biceps, 52mins + ZUMBA Country: Burn It Up, 28mins. P.M. Yv2: RIO, 28mins
16. X10: Fat Burning Circuit, 28mins + CHRISTI TAYLOR: Totally Cool Step, 48mins
17. Happy Easter!!! ICE: Rock’m Sock’m, 48mins + ZUMBA JTP: Tone & Sculpt, 45mins
18. GYM STYLE: Chest & Triceps, 1 set each exercise + ZUMBA BLITZ: Zumba Charge
19. P30: Perfect High Impact Hiit + ZUMBA JTP: Cardio Party
20. ZUMBA: Zumba Max 1 + KAREN VOIGHT: YogaFlow
21. rest day…

Week 5
22. GYM STYLE: Chest & Triceps, 46mins + ZUMBA: 30 Minute Burn. For Chest, I did 16, 14, and 12 reps of pushups and then only 2 sets of the rest of the chest routine. Love the triceps exercises, the close grip chest presses and the crossbody tricep presses really burn. I always reach failure. Cathe does slow tricep dips in this as well and each week I scream at the t.v., go faster, but Cathe is not hearing me. P.M. Yv2: SS
23. ZUMBA: Zumba Max - It’s been a long time since I did the full workout, more intense with a great step count and calorie burn.. The only songs that Zumba 1 and 2 have in common are the warm up & cool down song. Zumba Max 1 is mostly the first half of Zumba Max and Zumba Max 2 is mostly the 2nd half of Zumba Max. There are 2 songs in Zumba Max that are not in Zumba Max 1 or 2. Love. Very sore from GS as well. I really felt it when I had to put my hands in the air!
24. GYM STYLE: Legs (standing/stretch) + BRAZIL BUTT LIFT: Cardio Axe. Finally able to do all 4 reps of the slo mo lunges. Still very challenging. Next time I’ll up my weights to 6#’s.
25. ROB GLICK: Hi/Lo Fusion. Love!
26. GYM STYLE Back, Shoulders & Biceps + Yv2: WISI (12mins)
27. XTRAIN: Tabatacise, all 5 circuits. This should be called Tabata Jump. Cathe was a bunny or kangaroo in another life, she loves to jump, jump, jump, and like a robot I was jumping right along with her! P.M. Yv2: WISI, 22 mins
28. KATINA HUNTER: Interval Party. P.M. CHRISTI TAYLOR: Still Jumping, 30 mins. Wow, I wish Christi would re-release some of her VHS workouts on DVDs. Great music and a lot of fun. I even enjoyed hamming it up with hammy girl! She was feeling the music, for sure, and I loved her enthusiasm.
29. ANGIE MILLER: Kettlebell Bootcamp (dust bunny). This made me miss my kettlebell workouts. I really enjoyed this and after my 6th week of GS I may do a kettlebell rotation, with RKS…P.M. Yv2: RIO
30. Yv2: SS + Si6: Slim & Limber

30- Stott Pilates' Essential Matwork on Stability Cushions (~virgin 46 min.).
31- Kathy Smith's Rejuvenation: Body Balance (30 min.) + Step 360: Cardio Explosion (10 min.) + Si6: Slim & Limber.

April - Abril - Avril - 四月

01- Juice & Toya (~YouTube): Active Warm Up (7:32 min.) + Full Body Medicine Ball Workout (17:38 min.) + Daily Full Body Stretch & Mobility (15:06 min.). Nice, great combo! I loved the med. ball exercises, 40 sec on, 20 sec rest, and no repeats. I used an 8lb medicine ball. The warm up and stretch were pretty good too.
02- Cathe's Basic Step + Body Fusion: Body Fusion (~virgin 50 min.). Cathe asked "how are you doing?", me replied: "dying!", geez note to self... Do not do this after house cleaning, I was low on energy already before I started, but I wanted to get it done before dinner, I survived! Great stuff though, I used 5s instead of their suggested 3s, except for one exercise (reverse flyes).
03- SS: Cool It Off (58 min.).
04- Rest day.
05- Karen Voight's Strong & Streamlined: Streamline Fitness (~virgin 57 min.). I liked this, except for the lower body which was a joke, too quick and not enough of reps, the warm up was too long too. This would be good for a low energy day.
06- Karen Voight's Strong & Streamlined: Strong & Smooth Moves (~virgin 68 min.). Well, I found the warm up a bit weird, the cardio was okay, but the toning didn't have enough reps of anything, I used a 10lb body bar, they used 12lb, and 5s for those who used dumbbells, I might try it next time with a heavier barbell. It was still enjoyable, but again good for a lighter/low energy day.
07- The Firm BSS3: Fat Blasting Cardio (~YouTube 30 min.) + Si6: Slim & Limber. FBC was super fun, I loved it!
08- Rest. Tired.
09- Body Bar: BURN with Kelli Robers (~virgin 56 min.). Good workout! Loved it.
10- TheFirm Wave: Speed Slimming Sculpt (32 min.) + CS' Back Pain Relief & Prevention: 30 Minute Workout (~virgin). SSS was very fun and sweaty, there is a move that still makes me nervous, but I did way better this time than when I did it so long ago. BPRP was good too, a lot of good stretches, it felt good.
11- TheFirm: Cardio Sculpt Blaster (~virgin 33 min.) + Rejuvenation: Stretch & Flex (15 min.). CSB was fun, and the time went by so fast! I had trouble with one combo at first, but I got it at the end.
12- CS' Back Pain Relief & Prevention: 30 Minute Workout.
13- Rest. Tired.
14- TheFirm Wave: Rock It Off (~virgin 42 min.) + FéFit: Stretch Flow 1 (20 min.). RIO was so much fun and sweaty, I loved it!
16- Rest. Headache.
15- Karen Voight's Great Weighted Workout (~virgin 83 min.). Wow, what I workout! She fried my arms and I only used 2s, at some point I was wishing I grabbed 1s and then my legs, why oh why I put on ankle weights?! The burn was out of this world, I was trembling! And my abs were on fire at this point I was totally abandoned in the pain, geez, and you know what... I loved it! My only complaint is that there were not exercises for the back, that is why I love Kathy Smith abs work she always gives some love to the back as well.
17- Happy Easter!
18- Walk to the Hits: All Time Favorites (55 min.) + Si6: Slim & Limber (14 min.). I had a nice sweaty walk with ATF, I also used 1lb weighted gloves for a little extra burn, fun workout!
19- TheFirm: Ultimate Fat Burning Workout (40 min.) + Rejuvenation: Stretch & Flex. Fun!
20- Workout 180: Warm Up + Ultimate Bootcamp (25 min.) + Rock 'Roll Balance Board (14 min.) + Si6: Slim & Limber (14 min.). UBc is tough, it alternates basic cardio step on the 8 in platform, with resistance work using the resistance tubes, each done for a minute, the core work towards the end in the unstable surface is hard. Then RnR was hard too, because I found the unstable surface a real challenge, more than my Beleboom (bosu type) or The Firm Wave, I not even can get on it without holding myself, and I place it next to the sofa just in case the instructor here is Amy Cotta, and Jennifer Galardi is a background exerciser.
21- Workout 180: Warm Up + Fat Burn Cardio (9 min.) + Chest, Arms & Back (11 min.) + Hips, Thighs & Buns (11 min.) + Core (13 min.) + Si6: Slim & Limber (14 min.). Tough stuff! The cardio was short but got me sweating very quickly. UB stuff was one minute each, LB was 10 reps each one exercise after the other for a whole 5 min. or so, then change legs and repeat, using the ankle attachment for the resistance tube, good stuff and challenging, for the standing core I used the wave this time, still pretty good without the fear of falling off, and then when back to the W180 for the rest. I got this before my DD was born, I just checked online and the store I bought this from, still sells it, mine still look pretty good, glad I manage to get the extra DVDs, they are a real challenge, but are enjoyable, the DVD it cames with was a bit boring.
22- Rest. Tired.
23- Audrey Krafft: Deep Full Body Stretch (~YouTube 28 min.).
24- Rest day.
25- The Firm BSS3: Express Total Body Shaping (~virgin 33 min.). Fun workout! I used my 10 lb weighted bar, 2 lb dumbbells and my new 0.5 lb ankle weights during the whole thing, I got a nice sweat on!
26- Leslie Sansone: 2 Mile Walk from the 4 Mile Power Walk Workout (~YouTube 30 min.). I usd my 1 lb weighted gloves for an extra boost.
27- Rest/Recovery.
28- Rest/Recovery.
29- Rest/Recovery.
30- Rest/Recovery.

✨✨ April 2022 ✨✨

Well here I am 2 years later, in Shanghai and in lockdown. Again. Life sure is funny.
It's an opportunity to rebuild. Glad to be back.

Focus: Getting back into it

1 - Yoga 30for30 Intention. Started doing this online together with a friend as a way of supporting her, and it's really helping us both. This was the third time, and my body is slowly remembering
2 - am Yoga 30for30 Intention, pm Caroline Girvan's Beginner Epic 1 Lower Body, Travis Eliot’s Yin Yoga Short & Sweet. Going back to Beginner EPIC was a good way to judge just how much fitness I've lost over the past 6 months. I was able to do the workout without struggling, but I wouldn't say it was easy. So, maybe it's not totally back to the beginning but if I start there, I can speed up. The Yin practice just felt like a 'nice stretch but not special. Then I stood up and it felt like someone had swapped out my hips for a new pair. I literally had to stand there and readjust my brain before I could walk. Wow.
3 - am Yoga 30for30 Intention. I've never done a practice so many times and I think this might be thing i should have discovered years ago. Rather than moving on to the next one, I'm appreciating it and deepening every day. pm Heather Robertson's Glow Up Day 4 Upper Body. First weight workout in ages and now my arms are rubbery. But it's good to be back.
4 - Yoga 30for30 Intention.
5 - Rest.
6 - Yoga 30for30 Intention.
7 - Rest.
8 - Yoga 30for30 Intention.
9 - Yoga 30for30 Intention.
10 - Yoga 30for30 Intention. I've never done a single workout so many times before, but I'm actually really enjoying it. Every day I feel some difference. I'm stronger, or I'm reaching further, or my balance is slightly better. I'm doing it on Zoom with a friend whose first language is Mandarin, so she feels happier knowing the workout really well. I really can see the huge benefits of just doing something every day.
11 - Yoga 30for30 Intention.
12 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow.
13 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow.
14 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow. Now at 2 full weeks of strict lockdown, no end in sight. Hanging in there!
15 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow.
16 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow.
17 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow. With unending gratitude to AnMrsDe who convinced me I needed this set.
18 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow.
19 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow. Really half-assed it today, but if I showed up on the mat I'm gonna count it.
20 - Yoga 30for30 Yin Yoga.
21 - Yoga 30for30 Even Flow. Travis Eliot's Yin Yoga Upper Body Medicine.

Hi everyone and welcome to April!

Great to see so many back this month and a big welcome back to Liz and Bex!!! Bex, I am a little discouraged, though, with your news of another lock down in Shanghai. That is not good news (for any of us)!!! Wishing you the best outcome with that. Is your business on lock down too?

Jane, sounds like you had a fun get-away with your DH! Good job with the workouts that week! Now back to reality!

Happy thoughts for all of us for a good month! Stay healthy!

I agree, so nice to see so many here!
Hope everyone is having a nice April so far! I'm struggling with sleep, stress and so forth with much being related to this move, packing, getting rid of so much of DH's family stuff which is still overwhelming and very, very worried about my parents due to Covid icu numbers very much up in their region. I know many of us have worries about this. Bex, take good care where you are! Good work on getting back into the swing of things with your weights!
Given how busy we are, I'm not focussing on fitness for "working out" so much this month. Rather just using fitness-movement to ground myself and keep energy for everything I need to get done.
Dancing Queen, I hope your knee has been doing better.
AMD how do you do Cathe UB and C Girvan on the same day?! Whoa.
allgirlsinaz, have fun with 40-4-40, I'm thinking about starting that one up again myself. Amazing program & nothing else like it!!!!
