If deadlifts bother your back, this might work

I found this video on youtube that shows a deadlift variation that is easier on your back. Using heavy weights with the stiff legged version can be problematic for many of us.

Thank you for that.

I have also used my yoga block to stand the kb in place between my feet so I don’t go down too much, but can still use a heavy weight.

Thank you for the link. Good to know I do most of the subs mentioned in place of DL's...well, not so much walking lunges but all the rest! The other day there were 169 Goblet Squats included in my workout, so I think I have that one covered this week, LOL!

gladgirl, that's really a good idea about the yoga block, too. I usually just use my step to put the DB/KB on.

Ha, well they were interspersed with weight work as well as (240!) KB swings throughout, so it didn't seem quite as dreadful as if there were all done in succession! But the swings OTOH....

Sounds like a great workout…one I can aspire to do one day.

Great find.

Deadlifts don’t bother my back, but I was never able to make them really hit my hamstrings until I recently learned sumo deadlifts from Caroline Girvan.

It was 45 min. and I really enjoyed the workout/Shred Program!! It's this one:

YT Tiff & Dan's 6 Week SHRED Workout Program: The Ultimate FULL BODY Dumbbell Workout (Intense HiiT @ Home) Day 25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5Nu...Ph4_6&index=25 I'm not sure how often I'll be repeating this one per se, though, since it may have that dread factor b/c of all those Goblet Squats and Swings!

Really had great results, too in 6 weeks (but took me 8 weeks adding in yoga and my speed walks)!
