Tugger, sorry about the discs issues! I ruptured L5 about 40 years ago. Surgery was not necessary, but a monthly chiropractic visit has been required for nearly 5 years now in order to maintain normal activity.

I am 6 weeks out from a total knee replacement. I have just started to walk a little. I am still pretty slow but at least it's a start. If the weather is bad I pulled out some Leslie Sansone. I suspect I'll be doing a lot of walking this year as I will have to have the other knee done too. It's good to hear that walking is so good.

Big fan of walking and hiking here! Fresh air, no equipment, can fit in 20-30 mins almost anytime, hanging out with hubby and/or kids = winning.
