Global warming for sure. We're going to be in the high 80s all of the sudden next week, and I'm dreading it. Seems kind of early for us too. I hate the heat and all this sun. I insisted that we get our AC ready for the summer few weeks ago and now I'm glad I did because we're all set to for next week. My DH likes to procrastinate but I like to be prepared. I hate the high electric bills but I prefer the comfort.

At least we don't have the humidity part, but I am dreading the electric bills as well.

Good morning!

JS Core Control - 30min
Mira's Spine Mobility - 10min

Still feeling achey and stiff so I've decided to concentrate on gentle workouts that keep me moving and hopefully ease the aches and pains. Today's the start of our hot and humid week and regardless of what the rheumatologists and arthritis specialists say, the weather DOES affect how so many of us feel.

I'm going to try to get some more movement/flexibility in later today.

Wishing everyone a great day!

Carol the humidity is most unwelcome when it's over 90°. Stay cool!

Dana I don't care what they say about the weather not affecting arthritis either. It always affects my husband and the stress of added discomfort and aches affects his temperament.

Yesterday was Winsor Slimming Pilates burn and firm and Xtrain chest, back and shoulders. I had never done the Winsor before and they use a banded weighted bar. I created a fascimile with my Danskin weighted bar and Cathe's fabric band . Added a mobility session after Xtrain because I needed more, lol.

Off to assist my daughter in organizing and decluttering (which looks like it will take all week! )

Waves Donna and Brenda!

Hi Everyone,

Here's my catch up for the last few days!

Sat - - LWR - Feel Amazing Challenge - Days 4 & 5; Yoga w/ Bird - 7 Day Yoga Challenge Day # 6

Sun - Burpee Girl Short Workouts - 20 Min Tone & Burn (from 4/29/22); Pilates Nest - Rise & Shine Retreat Day 1

Mon - Lively Ladies - Energy Boosting Walk (from 5/2/22); Caroline Sandry - 30 Days to Flat Abs Day 1, Yoga w/ Bird - 7 Day Yoga Challenge Day # 7

We had a busy and somewhat hectic weekend which was alternated w/ taking naps on Saturday b/c I was exhausted!

Another crazy week at work begins.

Our bathroom remodel starts on Thursday, hopefully it will be done by Memorial Day.

The Burpee Girl was a new-to-me channel - she has two channels - one has longer workouts and one has shorter workouts. These seem to be all done in the current style of You Tube workouts w/ music only and no vocal cueing. It was fun for a change of pace.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week!

Today's workout:

Kelly Coffey-Meyer - 30 MTF - Start Here #2 - 30 minutes

I enjoyed this strength workout from Kelly. No unusual moves - pretty straight forward lifting - mostly standing, but about the last 8 minutes or so on the floor.

Hi Everyone,

Today's workouts:

Burpee Girl Short Workouts - 25 Min Burn & Tone - (from 5/9/2022)
Caroline Sandry - Total Body Pilates - Total Body Section

Burpee Girl is nice for a change of pace, and I haven't seen one burpee in her videos. It is mostly body weight cardio/tone - barefoot style - no impact and uses very little space. There is no verbal cueing, just music but it is easy enough to follow.

Oh - yesterday I did get out to walk w/ my DD and Golden. It was a lovely evening.

Carol - I think I have that workout from Kelly! Should pull it out again. I have so many workouts that are collecting dust on the shelf, but I'm so hesitant to get rid of things w/ DVDs being so scarce.....and everything going to streaming.

Sorry for the quick post - busy day ahead!

Monday: stepping and weights while watching Survivor

I'm sorry for all those of you already suffering in the heat! We're having weird weather as well, though we have the opposite problem. Our projected daily temps today and for the rest of the week are 54F, 57F, 48F, 55F, and 57F. Brrrr! I heard our April was the coldest on record since they started keeping track of such things.

My elbows are much better, thanks for asking! I can still feel them talking to me a bit if I do too much but the situation is much improved.

We, here in the land of humidity, are also having odd weather -it has been unseasonably cool here! I'm not complaining, b/c it is nice, but usually by this time of the year it is warmer and more humid.
