Which Margaret Richard?

I've been seeing a lot of talk here about her, but I'd like to choose wisely since her stuff is expensive! Which of her DVDs is the best?

That's a really subjective question. What are you looking for? Short vs long, light weight vs medium weight, total body vs parts, indoors vs outdoors, old (maybe dated) vs new... ?

Sammycakes, I just ordered and received the Classics a couple of weeks ago. It's got Home Improvement, Body Electric workout, Forty and Fabulous, and High Voltage. I'm already ready to get more Margaret! Home Improvement has some of the toughest floor work I've ever encountered! Heck, the floor work is hard on all of them, for that matter, just particularly brutal in HI.

I have to second Home Improvement. It definitely is one of the toughest floor workouts I have ever done and that is without any extra weight. I rarely do the upper body stuff (I like Karen Voight for light weight/high rep upper body), but I repeatedly reach for HI over the years. It is a keeper.

HI is the only one of the Classics I haven't done yet (a little lame on the upper body, my problem area), but it's obviously good!

I love the outdoor sets on any of Margaret's: Triple Threat, Fitness Becomes You, Good'n'Strong, and one of the Classics, can't recall the title.

Beauty to the Bone has two great total body workouts filmed indoors, with a couple other ladies. Her Sculpture dvd is also a good two day split (upper and lower), also filmed indoors, and she's alone in this one.

Not much help am I

I agree with Lucky. Of the four workouts I have by Margaret (Classics, Unplugged Vol I, Getting Well, and All My Best), each one offers something the others don't. Each is a favorite on different days, depending on what I'm especially wanting that day. Which isn't to say you have to own more than one of Margaret's programs. I don't think you do. But what are you especially drawn to and what do you not like so much in a workout?

For indoor workouts, the Classics would be good because you get four different workouts -- more bang for your buck. All My Best would be another choice because of clips from many other older workouts.

You can see a clip of Triple Threat on the bodyelectrictv.com website although I can never find the clip, only stills from it, so maybe someone will post the link for you. You will get a sense of her later outdoor stuff, including Unplugged.
