other than your initial preview.... you don't notice doug's form.... you're working too darned hard during those challenges... unless you insert your own breaks (which they do encourage for your first times)! i look at the right of the screen quickly to see what i'm supposed to do next, if needed... but there's no staring at the screen to see what anyone else is doing! those challenges (or at least the 2 i've done so far) are great!

I keep looking at these because I'm interested in some simple short workouts. I keep going back and forth between the two and depending on which thread I'm reading or which clip I'm watching, my opinion changes. But since my hormones are in a wad and it seems my body isn't going to allow me too much leadway with stressing it much without packing on extra pounds, I'm leaning toward Skogg. Maybe I'm wrong, but Skogg just looks like it would be better bet for keeping my workouts at a more intermediate level.

Needless to say . . . I have neither system. But I'm looking and just putting in my .02 cents!

Both systems are good and different!

The Skogg's has excellent instruction, it adjust to your level, 1-4 and the workouts are great without having to roll on the floor or do burpees that I don't enjoy. You can get your butt kick whith simple moves and still work the entire body. No ab work either, no turkey's get ups.

The RKS offers more variety, and more workouts, but the instruction is not that good, is more Hollywood. I did workout 1 yesterday and is very simple and fantastic. Is swing intervals, do swings for 30 seconds and rest for 45 seconds, for 20 minutes, is cardio intervals without impact. I have been doing something similar on my own, but since I don't have timer, I would count 30 swings and rest, and repeat until I hit 300 swings. I previewed workout 2, which is circuit training, and it looks good too.

I have both!

Sue, my suggestion for you is to enjoy RKS, and if when you get tired of it, still want to try the Skogg's system you can temporary trade with someone to see if you like it. I like it for those days that I don't feel like rolling on the floor but need kick @$$ workout in 30 minutes, the key is to use a challenging weight.

well.... ultimately... yes! you don't need both right this second.... concentrate on RKS, then after doing all the workouts or following the rotation... then order skogg! i think there is a place for both of them in your KB workout library if you don't mind spending the money! and admit it.... we're vidiots.... we want it all!

ya know.... that's my issue with half of the skogg workouts..... you use ONE kettlebell... but all the later ones you do one exercise after the other.... they all include overhead presses.... and i just cannot get a heavy KB over my head more than one time with a press..... so i don't feel like i'm going to get a good workout out of flow and.... forget the other one's name.... with roots and ladders (i think that's the second one?) at least you have time to switch out the KB for differing weights depending on the exercise.....

plus..... i do tend to build muscle if i go heavy.... but i don't want massive linebacker shoulders.... defined yes.... but not huge... so i'm torn on what to do.... try to work up to heavier presses? (and risk linebacker shoulders) or go lower weight on everything else but then i'm not getting as a good a workout as i think i should....
