I second this... I was reading somewhere... sorry can't quote the source - that floor work is the best way to work the butt and to avoid using the muscles of the thighs.

i.e. kick backs on all fours - you can use ankle weights to give it more of a "weight workout" feel

Cathe posted an article about this a few months ago:

Ballet Beautiful (especially the Total Body/Classic and Blasts) DVDs are great for this.

I've also been doing a lot of Barlates this past week, and I swear that my thighs are thinning up and my rear is toning up super quickly!

Does the new lower body Barlates dvd have alot of glute work or is more thigh? I looked on youtube at the Barlates videos but couldn't find many full length workouts, maybe I'm missing them. I don't want to spend anymore money, I think I should probably go through my extensive dvd collection and see what I have first!!

Which Barlates workouts are you using? Thanks!

Here are the free lower body workouts that Linda offers on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...Tvtv9S3b4k08yt

Here is the link to the download for the ankle weight butt sculptor workout someone posted upthread: http://www.workoutdvdworld.com.au/we...butt-sculpter/
This one is killer! I did a rave thread on it awhile back: http://www.videofitness.com/~vfwnk/f...d.php?t=212296 It really gets the glutes!

The downloads are only $3.99 but if you are in the US it's even less with the exchange rate. She has a buy 2 get 1 free option which makes it even cheaper. With the exchange rate, I got 3 workouts for $5.98!

This past week, I did three days with her: Cardio Legs (from the ball DVD), Ballet Box + Upper Body Band (from YouTube), and HIIT Interval 40/30 (from YouTube) + Buns of Steel floorwork.

Her workouts just really are working well for me. I remember a recent thread where someone posted about how quickly Callanetics Evolution was working after just five workouts, and I feel the same way about Linda's work.

Also, I'm an hourglass, so light weights and high reps works best for me.

I did find alot on youtube afterall! I think I was doing a specific search only for barlates and the word "glute". Does she have any rotations posted? I've never done downloads so this is probably a stupid question....do they expire or once you download it, it's yours to keep?

Do her non-HiiT/Cardio workouts have any cardio effect? Her workouts are intriguing me!

Other than variety, what do they provide that my P57, SB, TA and Ballet Body workouts don't?

Thanks!
