Convince me…why do I need Cathes new STS

So….I never purchased the original STS and don’t really know anything about it. I don’t understand mesocycle etc. I can’t figure out the weight thing. So it’s really a mystery to me. But for MANY years people have raved about the original STS system/set. Now Cathe is coming out with an updated version and I’d like to buy it. Can you convince me as to WHY I need it? I’m 57 and not the cardio queen I used to be, I really don’t like HiiT workouts anymore BUT I have an increasing love of strength workouts. Help me figure this out please.

Muggle I think this set will be a shortened STS so perhaps not so fussy. Plus she's promising a bunch of new moves, a new set, heavy weights, and recovery workouts. I also recall her saying that this was strength focused, so I don't think there will be any HiiT in sight.

I'm sure you'd be able to sell it if it's not your cuppa.

ETA: I've only done the original STS one time, but I really liked it. I did the one rep max, but not the micro-loading and what not. If I wasn't having knee issues at this time I'd probably do it again. I'm definitely keeping the original STS and look forward to the new set.

I can tell you that each “mini-set” will be unique in and of itself and when the three are used as a complete set it will be a strength training trifecta!

will also include recovery routines within the program itself.
muggle there are lots of reasons this set appeals to me but the above two reasons call me the most. So do either of those appeal to you?

Also, I am not one that has ever done STS..and that set really just seems too daunting to me.

This is exactly what I’m thinking. I just can’t do anything so….involved. But a shorter version does appeal to me.

Well same for me!

I like the idea that I could use the workouts individually, as a mini set, as well as altogether.

In STS she goes really heavy in Meso 3. I don't own dumbells that are that heavy. I imagine this one will have heavy weights too at some point. I do like the feel of getting stronger and putting on muscle, but there's a limit for a home exerciser.

It may be that there will be options to buy only a portion of the set. To answer the original question, if you feel that lifting weights is beneficial for you, it might be a good investment. You'll have to weigh the pros and cons.

I never invested in the original STS and have no regrets, but I'll probably cave this time.
