Tara Stiles yoga?

Hello,

I'm thinking of getting a couple of Tara Stiles yoga DVDs from Mary at Total Fitness. Has anyone done Tara Stiles yoga before and do you like her?

I would normally do a search for her in order to get any information I need, but that function isn't currently working.

Thanks for your help! Appreciate it!

I enjoy her. She has some practices on YouTube you may want to check out / try:

I recently tried her "This is Yoga AM/PM" DVD. I was hoping it would motivate me to get disc 3 in this series, but it didn't, i'm sorry to say. it's a good workout, and she talks fast.

I also did the Elle (as in Magazine) DVD workout - i liked that one better.

hers is a more athletic style, as opposed to the kind where you can feel soothed.

She mumble talks quickly and has an affinity for down dog splits. Not a lot of variety in poses. Not a fan, sorry. I enjoyed her Yoga Anywhere and could somewhat tolerate her Elle Yoga workout, but not enough to keep either.

Dena, I don't know why I didn't think of of YouTube as a resource! Thank you!

bzar, I was reading Amazon reviews of the 4 DVD set and some seem to be more liked than others. The Elle workout is intriguing, but seems to move quickly. Looks like a great setting, though.

bubbles76, I had to laugh at your "mumble talks quickly" and IKWYM. The first preview I looked at on YT had her fast speak and she kinda runs her words together. Not very calming, is she?!

I wonder if she'd be better in voice-over, or as an instructor who walks around in a classroom setting and speaks about form pointers, etc.

Thank you, ladies!

Tara's MO seems to be "han solo" in 99% of her workouts. The Elle was the only one where Decker is the other participant, and Tara instructs in "fast-talking" voiceover.

Tara has a couple of dvds with Deepak Chopra - labeled as Deepak Chopra & Tara Stiles.

I really like the one -Yoga Transformation Weight Loss & Balance -doable for me (I am over 70). There is really nothing about weight loss in the practice and only 1 balance - tree pose. She instructs 3 exercisers in a desert setting. As long as you don't have a problem with the word "awesome" this is really good.

The other one - Strength and Energy - is too hard for me.
