IFTA certification: worth it?

There's a weekend of workshops + certification of various sorts near me in a couple of weeks. Has anyone done certification with this group? Is it widely recognized?

I may do some of the workshops regardless, because it could be fun.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. Greg Simms and Jeff Borden are pretty popular presenters and I always enjoy their workshops, so I'm sure you would learn a lot and probably enjoy it. However, unless it is a secondary certification I'm not sure what you could do with it. I know the clubs where I have worked would not accept it as a primary cert, but it should definitely count as continuing ed for renewal.

Most gyms I've worked for don't consider it a recognized certification. I love their workshops though. I'm going to the one in Raleigh in a couple of weeks. I've gone for the last couple of years and have had a blast.
