Fitprimes / Kickbutts - Question

Just wondering if anyone has categorized their Fitprimes/Kickbutt/WHFN workouts into the old Firm rotation categories of Tortoise, Hare, Classic, etc. I'm hoping someone can post a list...

Thanks!

I haven't specifically categorized them but just wanted to add how much I love these workouts

I am starting a new functional fitness rotation which includes both the old Fitprime and new WHFN Fitprime/Kickbutt workouts along with several others including TLT, TLP, etc. I would like to hear what others have to say too.

Personally I would be more inclined to categorize them as Tortoise than Hare becuase they are not really endurance videos, or Classics because most of them alternate strength and cardio.

Funny, I have been on a kickbutt/fitprime rotation lately. Here's my best guess as to how they fit the "tortoise" "hare", etc. categories.

Lower Body Burn - Split Category
Upper Body Burn - Split Category
Lean - Hare
Pump - Tortoise
Metaboost - Tortoise
FlexPosture - (?) - I guess mostly stretching!

Strong Bear - Tortoise/Full Body Weights
Fast Cheetah - Hare or Cardio
Floor Burn - Floorwork
Crunch Time - Tortoise
Push/Pull - Tortoise
Steamin Cardio - Hare or Cardio

Hope that helps!

I've been doing the FitPrime workouts (Following the rotation calendar) this month and plan to do the Kickbutt calendar next month.

Take care,

So how would they be classified under "Sculpt," "Cardio" and "Cardio+Sculpt?"

I really don't understand the whole Tortoise / Hare classification too much. To me "Tortoise" means "sculpt" and "Hare" means "Cardio+Sculpt." Am I right?

Help?

Hi

Here's what I recall of the classifcations:

Tortoise is 75% weights/25% cardio
Hare is 75% cardio/25% weights
Classic is 50/50
Sculpt would be all sculpting, no cardio (although probably some cardio effect from training!)

Cardio & Sculpt would therefore be Tort/Hare/Classic - but the mixture of each would be different

Cardio would be pure cardio

Sculpt would be pure weights

HTH!

Forgot to add -Emily - would you mind posting your rotation? I'm trying to think up a way to add some of the TLTs, TLPs, etc. to these! Thanks!

I think they have been categorized at the Firm YaYa's review site. There are two categories, FitPrime and WHFN. Steamin' Cardio, for instance, is listed as a Hare. I don't know if they've all been categorized, but check it out. I used that site to categorize all my Firm tapes in my workout notebook and it was a big help.

Donna, thank you for the info on the WHFN workouts, and Jo, thanks for the link to Firm Yaya's review page.

Thanks, Jo!

Perfect - This is just what I was looking for! Thank you for posting the link, Jo. I only have a handful of these workouts and must admit I haven't used them much, but Anna's passing has inspired me to dust these off again.

Thanks!
