Number 1 would definitely be the friendships made. Although I don't see people from VF in person very often, I have "met" the greatest people in the world here, and my life is enriched.
Yep, spend way more on fitness than I ever would have thought possible, but then, I'm also more consistent with fitness than any time since high school.
Without VF I never would have gone to a fitness conference and gotten to work out with many of my favorite instructors in person. I also never would have experienced the VF viewing party where we watched ( and mocked, of course ) the various truly atrocious/hilarious workouts that actually made it to market.
Getting to meet VFers in person is the very best part of at whole weekend ( see number 1
).
VF gave me the guts to try a 2 piece swimsuit, and the confidence to actually wear it out in public. No one pointed or laughed out loud . . . my VF buddies were right!
Without VF I would still think CIA had to do with spies, BM was something not talked about in public, medicine balls were round medications, step took you from one floor to another, and
Women with Balls was a porn film about women with, um, UNUSUAL physical attributes.
