I love the FIRM infomercials and wish I had recorded them. I did, and do, find them motivating. I still do my FIRMS.

The BSS workouts are still my favorite Firms. I really wish they'd gone forward with more TransFirmer workouts, the pink Firms never really did it for me.

this product was unlike the wooden "tall boxes" shown in the firm "classics." later on, the Transfirmer (from BSS4), was a different design in that it was a 2-piece step: the bottom piece was slightly larger than the top piece, providing a more stable stepping platform.
Thanks! I can see how one could injure oneself if they weren’t careful to place their foot in the center of the box. I guess I’ve always been lucky. Now I will be careful.

Wow! some of these firm infomercials are as long as a firm workout.

I must say though that they make me want to pull out my firms.

I bought BSS1 and didn't care for the new set or the FL. However they did grow on me over time.

Most of the systems had three main workouts and a piece of equipment. They also had several add ons, and that's where I got confused. Many of the titles were very similar, and some were reissued with a different cover which made things even more confusing. I gave up, and turned my attention to Cathe.

I did acquire some things through trades, but I never again bought an entire system. Wouldn't mind seeing some of them again, but on the whole prefer the BBH Firms. There will never be anything like them again.

Jane, if you're more of a BBH fan, the ones led by Pam Cauthen Meriwether are really good. i agree with your comment about changing the covers of the labels that adds confusion.

BSS3: Hips, Thighs & Abs - 35 minutes; not chaptered; mostly floorwork using the sculpting stick and box, but in the reviews section, people mostly used a step co. step and a barbell w/o plates or a body bar. here are the VF reviews - really good if you want to see what equipment people subbed.

original cover: https://www.amazon.com/Firm-Body-Scu...0603497&sr=8-4
re-issued cover: https://www.amazon.com/Firm-Fast-Hip...0603497&sr=8-3

BSS3: Express Total Body Shaping - 35 minutes; not chaptered. uses sculpting stick only on flat floor (i.e., no box used whatsoever); VF review link.

BSS4: Supercharged Sculpting - 39 minutes; not chaptered - uses TF and dumbbells. DVD also has a separate 5-min bonus stretch segment that you access from the main menu. VF reviews link.

BSS4: Jiggle Free Buns - 34 minutes; not chaptered; uses TF and dumbbells. alternates standing LB moves with light cardio. has the infamous "hot cross buns" segment. VF reviews link.
