Does anyone play board games?

I've heard there is a huge resurgence! What are your favorite games? With how many people?
thanks

Yes, yes, yes!
The newest game introduced to us by friends is Codenames. It takes a minimum of four people. We played it with teams over Thanksgiving with the family & they loved it.

Cranium is another fun game that can be with four or teams.

The family also likes Caton. It's a gathering resources & building roads, settlements & cities.

Exercise poker is another family favorite, but not a board game. Buy chips with push-ups & sit-ups & play whatever poker game you like. Even if you lose you gain fitness.

In the homeschooling circles I'm a part of, board games never went away! They're hugely popular (Catan, Ticket to Ride, Forbidden Island, Carcasson, Dominion, Pandemic are all big).

I like games that are over quickly, lol. Blokus is one of my favorite (playing with my kids and husband). I also prefer dice games (Tenzi, LCR, Farkle) over the more involved board games. My kids love Monopoly-- I hate it.

I love Rummoli, we play it often when we travel with friends. Another fun game we enjoy is Pass the Pigs, not a board game but lots of fun. Both can be played with any number of people, especially Pass the Pigs.

When I was away at training for several months we played plenty of board, dice, and card games. I miss it, as Big Bubble doesn't like board games, and my family is in another state. I believe there may be a MeetUp for board games; I'll have to ask my single friends about it.

We do!!!! We have a large group of friends and rotate through houses every month or so. It's always potluck and we play a huge range of games...Code Names, Blokus, Werewolf, Telustrations, etc. Between the different couples, we probably have 30 or more games to choose from. We have been doing it for a couple of years and always have a blast.

DH and I play board games regularly. We tend to play "Euro" board games which were introduced with games like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Carcassone, etc. One of my favorites is one called St. Petersburg. My DH likes meatier games like Tigris and Euphrates. We both like certain themes, either historical, geographical, or horror. My DH is quite the collector of board games and we have played quite a bit of everything. Usually Sunday's are our regular day for gaming, and lately we've been playing Egyptian themed games. We also like card games, that are not your typical traditional card game.

I wish! Haven't connected with the right people, I guess.

This blog has what seems like a good list to try.
