When I first found the forum I think I read most if not all of the threads. Now I skim down and read the few that interest me. And I like the threads on beauty products...........a lot.

Way back when, I used to read every thread, but that was when there were far fewer members of VF, so there was less to read. Back then, I recognized everyone's name. Now, there are too many threads for me to read, so I click on the ones about the newest releases, and whatever else catches my attention. I do like some OT threads, and have learned a lot at VF about topics besides exercise.

If I have lots of time, I click on New Posts (like Joni), if not, I use MyVF to see ONLY those threads I've posted in that have new posts - that shortens the list even more.

On the whole, I read about 10% of threads (?)

My biggest time sucker here is WRITING posts - even in this piddly little one, I've written & deleted about 20 lines, twice over. I'm totally paranoid about being interpreted in a way I did not intend, I worry about being verbose, I worry about being too.... tooo...... anal/opinionated/scientifically minded/.....

Now... how can I spread the juiciest piece of goss we've had around here for a long time? (Renda, that is)

How do you see the threads you've posted in that have new posts by using My VF?

I thought new posts on threads you've posted comes in email. . That my VHF does nothing for me. Even on ones I have posted in. I knew there was something new here via email.

With thousands of threads available: No! LOL

Anyway, the same rule goes for any forum I visit: I read only what might interest me.

Same here!
Renda summed it up nicely though, sometimes a thread I've ignored for days suddenly gets too tempting just by the number of pages!

(Btw, Renda, never pegged you as the porn type! )

Having just recently started an OT thread myself, I'd just like to say that sometimes VF might be the only place a VFer feels comfortable asking a question, knowing, other VFers can most likely help out! (I for myself appreciate all the response I've received in my thyroid thread, it's given me a lot to think about, research and most importantly it helped me not feeling so alone with this issue!!!)
I understand we're not supposed to post tons of OTs like "Look at my cute cat" or "This is the coolest cat video!" etc. (even though I do love cats and always open those kinds of threads ) but I think there are tons of OTs that are important too, even if they're not 100% fitness related.

1) My VF
2) Edit Options
3) scroll down to Messaging & Notifications
in the 2nd boxed area, find Default Thread Subscription Mode
Mine is set to "Instant Email Message".

When I clicked on My VF to check what I had to do, THIS thread was the only one listed, being one I had posted into that had additional posts in it.

Joni, did you just start an OT inquiry (Renda's career in porn)?
