Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I'm glad you got a life Betsy. Isn't it wonderful. I don't read them all either. Heck, when they go off subject, I get out. I agree with what Joni said. Can't be bother with those teaser topics. Just ask the darn question and save people time or get an answer quicker.

I will open an OT thread if the question is asked correctly and not a Did you know???? what for crying out loud. agggghhh. Those people just want to see numbers in their post or something.

I think we need a little Marvin Gaye right about now: "Let's get it on, ahh baby..."

Funny, though, how many on topic threads become off topic ones. Those are okay I suppose?

I do read a lot of threads, even if it's not something I'm usually interested in, as long as I have the time of course. I'm out of work right now, so I do spend more time on VF than I used to. I should be using the extra time to work out or do something productive, but sometimes I just like to sit with a hot cup of coffee and read VF (like now for instance). I'm also not real picky about how people word their threads or if they're OT or things like that. It's all enjoyable to me.

I only read the threads that interest me. If it starts with kettlebell, pilates, Ellen Barrett, KCM, Firm, dogs, cats, beauty, or books, I'm not interested. I only come here to discuss workouts that interest me...and to read controversial threads about certain instructors that eventually get locked...

My problem is some threads (or even posts on a long thread) worth reading get buried quickly if nobody responds

Yeah, I think I know the syndrome, Betsy.
Those, and the ones with the little padlock on them and I think, "Ooo, what did I miss?"

Even though I stop by a few times per day, I read very few threads. I'm just not up on the latest and greatest. I'm going back to basics and my solid, older workouts are fine for that. I like learning new things and I like to shake up the routine a little, but I'm pretty good at resisting marketing hype. I've learned so much here and I really appreciate the exchange of ideas (and workouts). I just don't need to follow the industry that closely. I often have no idea who the instructors are that some threads refer to.

I agree!
It would also really help if people put a short description next to a link, especially YouTube links. (not just "This is the funniest/saddest/most inspiring video ever!!")
