WHFN Kickbutt workouts-(I'm and apple)-good rotation for weight loss?

For me being an apple, not all rotations work in helping me get the weight off. I have never done these workouts before and wondered if any of you have needed to lose weight(and an apple shape) and did these in a rotation? I'm really wanting to do these. The workouts are fun enough for me to stick to for a few weeks. I know all about "it's what you eat" being the biggest part BUT for me the right workout can either help me lose faster or lose nothing at all. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks!!

First, the confessional - I'm really bad at sticking to a fixed rotation.

Having said that, I did a WHFN rotation several years ago and I admit to being pleasantly surprised with the results. I'm not an apple, but I am in my 50's and have started having that tendency to hold to a little extra around the mid-section. I like the fact these work-outs are typically paced so that you can up your weights as your fitness level improves and can also use bigger moves and/or impact to increase the cardio intensity.

And you're right......watching the fork-to-mouth piece makes a big difference, also. The good news - we have a lot of great fresh produce to enjoy this time of year.

Good luck!

I just did 2 of these workouts for the first time this week. I was surprised at the balance and core strength moves that they have.
I would think that the pilates moves and cardio would only do positive things for the waistline. Not to mention the weight training in these workouts.

Anna Benson was very creative and knew how to make an effective workout. I think you can't go wrong with these. I had these once and gave them all away because I thought they were too easy and had odd moves but now I see Anna' fingerprints all over these and feel that they are an excellent progression of the original Firm.
So thankful that these were gifted to me (thanks deb)

Nancy, it's my belief that AWT in general can be very effective for apple-shapes because you're getting cardio in with your weight training, and apples need cardio.
So, in theory the WHFNs, as with most Anna Benson workouts, should work well for you -- plus they have a core focus. But of course the proof is in the doing!

Hi All,

My apologies for not getting back here. I didn't get a notice so didn't think there were any replies. What I do like about these is they don't look like they will kill me! Also, these days I'm looking for something more moderate without all the jumping around but still effective for getting this fat off. So, even though these have cardio, would you still add another couple days of maybe 30 minutes of cardio or would these do a good job on their own?

THanks for these!! Once I do the rotation that came with them, I can play around with these.

Which explains why Slim Series (no, it's not Anna Benson) is so good for apples

I did well with slim series BUT I had to add extra cardio to get off the fat.(I di the slim training rotation). I've got one of those stubborn bodies that just love to hang on to it although there are just a few workouts that do the trick for me. Barry's Bootcamp, Margaret Richards, Joyce Vedral Fat Burning Workout, Gin Miller's Simply Circuit and Tae Bo blasts fat off me fast. Yet, Jillian Michaels, Jari Love and Interval Cardio stall my weight loss. How weird is that? I'll try out WHFN Kickbutt for a few weeks and post back here how it goes.
