We recently replaced all our resistance bands with handles. They were getting cracks, even though we kept them stored in a closet.

(Now, no cracks about cracks!)

Have you every used one of these balls? I've found that any stability the sand in it adds is minimal. And that stability is probably counteracted by the bit of resistance it adds when you try to move it (and the sand doesn't necessarily want to move in quite the direction you want to).

Huh, it never occurred to me that I might someday need to replace my stability ball. It's a Thera-Zone (something like that) anti-burst ball which I've had for...at least 8 years (I know b/c I bought it after I met DH and we've been married 8 years). If I had it outside in the AZ heat (even in the garage) I'd definitely be concerned, but it's always been kept indoors. Nothing about it makes me worry, especially since it is anti-burst. It was quite a task to inflate so I guess I can't imagine it just popping.

Let's hope I'm not proven wrong!

I received a reply from Spri. They said if you use the stability ball daily, it should be replaced every 2 years. I don't think a slow to deflate needs to be replaced that often as long as it's treated with care.
