For me, I seem to do better with more cardio then weights but I keep weight training to a minimum of 2 days per week.

I am still trying to figure that out for myself. I know I need strength at least 2 times a week and that has made a big difference. I seem to do okay with at least one moderately heavy day and the rest can be bodyweight or lighter weight/endurance/circuit workouts like barre, kettlebells, AWT, etc. I tend to do more cardio than strength, but lately I have been doing less and it seems fine. I haven't done much intense cardio for a few weeks and have mostly just done walking and dancing (some fairly intense much lower intensity) and seem to be doing fine with resting heart rate, the scale and feeling healthy overall. I think I will add in some intense cardio soon, but I am just trying this for now. In my mind I feel it is ideal to have at least 3 strength/endurance, 3 cardio endurance, and 3 flexibility/relaxation/range of motion each week. More can be good too, but we only have so much time in the week. If I hit or exceed that I generally feel good about that and healthy as well. Sometimes I like to do a lot more cardio for the stress release/feel good factor though. When I was doing the most cardio (this past summer) my weight loss stalled though so I think there is a thresh hold between enough and too much in regards to body composition, at least for me. I can't say exactly where it is though and I suspect it may be different for everyone and different at different life phases. Sorry thinking out loud!
