Question about ball used in Barre3 & Booty Bar

The ball used in Barre3...is it smooth surfaced? I have the Fluidity ball but when I deflate it and try to use it it feels weird. It's more rough surfaced. The balls used in Barre3 and Booty Bar look smooth. What are you guys using for these workouts and where did you get the balls. And what size? Walmart had small smooth playground balls but they had Disney Princess or Tinkerball printed on them I want a pink one I read somewhere on the Barre3 site the ball used is 9". HELP!!!

I've actually been wondering about this too. I found this ball on Amazon:

does this look like the right one?

Hi Cindy and Kaia. My ball came with the Barre3 workout as I ordered directly from them (Barre3).

I have the barre3 ball as well as the one that comes with 10-minute Solution Quick Scupt Pilates (this one is pink ): http://www.amazon.com/10-Minute-Solu...2693801&sr=8-6 They are WONDERFUL for barre work because they have a smooth surface that is a little sticky (like a stability ball) so it feels super comfortable for plié work and it stays behind the knee for seat work.

I bought one at walmart that looks like the ones posted above. It was in a small box I found it by the workout bands. The ball cost 5 dollars and something cents I really like it.... Mine is purple.

Hmm.. I bought a Tinkerbell ball the other day after realizing that the one from P57 doesn't really work as well for some other workouts (Tracey Mallet's Pilates sculpt comes to my mind) but I haven't tried it out yet. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to order one of those from Amazon. Thanks for the links!

I too love the Fitball that comes with Barre3. I was happy when I got it and I'm quick to critique equipment that comes with DVDs when it's not up to scratch. The Fitball's size and texture is perfect for this kind of workout - smooth and a bit sticky/squishy like Fuzzie and Diana have said. Okay so it's not red or black (my colours of choice)... but I can overlook that it's blue in this case because it's so good.
