Alta, I remember your review. It's funny b/c I started with that video too and I actually liked it! There were things I couldn't do but it felt more accessible than I expected. On the other hand, I think her "Flexibility" video was also labelled "for beginners," and that one scared me.

Alta, that Patricia Walden release scared me off of yoga for months!
I was so happy to find Yoga Zone and Sara Ivanhoe.

I have been considering this thread for a bit and wondered if maybe, the active older Intermediate/advanced don't make themselves known as an audience for new workouts?

What I mean is, we know what we like, we gravitate towards what we know, and/or have such a good knowledge base that we modify up or down as necessary when we do use newer workouts.

We generally aren't going to be the folks contacting trainers or flood the gyms/studios periodically. (We are already quietly either participating there, if that's what we prefer. ) They won't "see" or even be aware we exist if we have our own home routine as so many of us do. We aren't posting selfies or gramming or tiktokking a WOTD.

They wouldn't know to be aware we represent any growth/profit potential as those other categories they see and target.

That's where I think a disconnect may occur.

Btw, I was recently found to have osteopenia in my right hip. But that has just motivated me to lift heavier, not to resort to soup cans!
I'm sorry to hear about your osteopenia. Good for you lifting heavier! I need to do that too.
