I do agree that $25 for a VHS is too much, especially when you can buy the DVD for much less. I was just surprised by it. There used to be a ton of choices on Ebay for VHS workouts and now there's just not a lot there and what is there is pricey. I remember getting VHS lots (usually 3 or more) of videos for just a few bucks.

When I first started working out at home, I'd buy from Ebay b/c money was tight and I didn't know which workouts I would like and which ones I wouldn't like, so it felt safer to just try them on the cheap. Rarely I would splurge and buy a new workout at a sporting goods store. I have the Step Reebok Circuit Challenge VHS that still has the original price sticker on it.....$19.99. I got lots of use out of that tape, so it was worth it. Heck, now I'm going to have to go and do that workout.....LOL! It's been a while since I've done that one. Actually I have the CTX UB and Abs tape too.....I might as well put that on my schedule too.

All my VHS and DVD's have stood the test of time. There is one Cathe w/o that has some lines running thru the picture at first and then fades as the tape keeps playing. Other than that, all my older tapes have held up fine and I use them a lot. It's just that now they don't get played as often b/c my collection keeps expanding and there's just soooooo much to choose from.

So sad when a VHS does slip away though...on my vcr a blue screen flashes in and out of the picture and the sound gets scratchy...and I'm like...noooo

There are some VHS workouts that can still command some good money IF IF IF they are not available on DVD. Billy Blanks TaeBo Live Basic and Advanced workouts come to mind.

Although not workout related, about two or three years ago the VHS for the dvd series A Little Princess with Amelia Shankley (not the one with Shirley Temple or the 1995 version) went for a pretty penny too.

Interesting. I have these. Never occurred to me that they were worth anything. Billy and his uneven reps!
