I usually order from them a few times per year, I order from Mary too. I have never had any issues with my orders. Right now they are having a 17% off sale, so I ordered a couple of things. Not that I need anything right now.

Yes, me as well. Whenever I think of Collage I feel a pang of guilt because I should have supported them more under the old management, when they put so much effort into their graphs and descriptions.

As it is I look to Mary first, and Amazon second, and for one offs that don't have their workouts at Mary or Amazon (Pure Barre and HSM come to mind) I'll just buy directly from the seller, ideally with a sale. I try to support Mary first to make up for my lack of support from the original Collage video, Mary also puts a lot of effort into providing details and would leave a void if she went out of business.

Actually I look at VF roost first, then these other options

I haven't bought much in the last few years anywhere.. I fell big time off the wagon.

Since the old collage was sold , I do look at Mary first and when she doesn't carry a particular dvd that I am looking for I chat with her and ask her to look into buying it. If for whatever reason she can't carry it, then I look elsewhere.

I did just buy a dvd that I could only find at Collage..I ordered on Tuesday and it shipped on Wednesday .. the next day!

I haven't, to be honest my first and last time I ordered from them was during their OOBS. Their shipping to Canada was pretty high at the time. I used to buy from TFD a lot, but unfortunately several of my cases arrived damaged during shipping, which sucks at how pricey it is after shipping and conversion. Last year I got some nice items from VF Roost at a great price. Now, I've been finding some nice DVDs used in great condition for as low as a penny, sometimes a bit more, but still very cheap from Amazon Marketplace. These days I barely buy anything new, unless it is from a local store, which means 0 conversion + reasonable shipping.

*old thread alert*

Collage Video just pissed me off.

I asked for a return authorization number, and I got this response:

"Thank you for emailing Collage Video's Customer Service. Both of the DVDs you ordered state on the product page that they are high impact of a combination of lower and higher impacts. No problem, we can refund you for these. To return a DVD, please send the DVD back to us..."

I wrote back:

"The description of the workout says higher AND mixed, which is confusing.

{image from their website showing this}

"I often can tolerate high-impact aerobics, but not with this particular DVD. I'm keeping {the other DVD}, which actually has very few high-impact exercises. (The reason I gave for the return was 'too high impact--hurt knees.')

"Thank you for the RA number, but please don't scold your customers when they request a refund."

This is maybe one time in 1,000 that I've ordered from anyone besides Mary/Total Fitness DVDs (well, it seems like I've ordered from her 1,000 times ), and just when I thought I couldn't possibly appreciate her more, I do.

Mary doesn't do return authorization numbers and accepts returns with no questions asked, but I almost always provide an explanation.

And she doesn't scold her customers.

Collage likely won't be hearing from me again.

Yea, how unnecessary. Why not just say something like, "We're sorry that our dvd did not meet your expectations. To return a DVD, please send the DVD back to us..." The way said it sounded like, "lady, you clearly can't read, but because we're so awesome, out of the goodness of our hearts we'll send you the refund anyway." Rude!

Sorry you had a bad experience. This is not the original Collage Video staff and owners. Some random company just bought the site and name (and I guess the inventory) so it is really like a whole new business, not the "Collage Video" we knew.

From the website's "About Us" page:
Collage Video is a division of BayView Entertainment. BayView Entertainment, LLC, is America's number one independent distributor of fitness, wellness, and special-interest DVD releases.

Sadly, I guess we can't expect the same level of service and care about workout videos that the original owners provided.
