I do cardio three days a week, usually 45-60 minutes. If it's high impact or really intense, I keep it at 30-35 minutes. I have no idea how much you "need". I guess it depends on your goals, intensity, impact, etc. There are some people who just walk every day, and that seems to be enough to keep them active and healthy. If I had enough sidewalks, that's probably what I would do -- walk an hour a day. I love walking outdoors!
