I have peripheral neuropathy which affects both feet and hands which sounds very similar.
Also have carpal tunnel from a genetic anomaly diagnosed during surgery on the right wrist over 40 years ago so probably have tarsal compression as well.
I have no guarantee that more surgery will help.
A pain specialist believes my nerves were damaged by the prolonged use of the statin Lipitor.

I got tired of diagnostic procedures and treatments so just leaned to live with it.
I am also prone to odd random pain almost anywhere in my body. All of these conditions seem to be the worse when stressed.

I truly believe my daily healthbouncing has stopped the nerve damage from progressing.

I'm so sorry, Barb! I've never been on Lipitor but I have suspected I have some kind of nerve damage either from overuse exercise or workplace repetitive motion injuries, fluctuating weight, other, or all of the above. I will very occasionally get pins and needles feelings in other parts of my body that seem worse when I'm very stressed and/or when my BP is high (which it has been, but is now well controlled with diet and exercise). Some of these problems have been alleviated through careful supplement therapy, meditation, and other stress reduction techniques, but I do get the weirdest random, fleeting pain sometimes. :/

There are many mysterious conditions.
At least, I had all of the serious ones ruled out.
What is weird about pain is that when it suddenly appears, it cannot be denied but when it disappears as mysteriously as it had appeared, I do not always notice it is gone LOL
