You might consider supplementing with creatine. Its proven to help muscle recovery, growth, and can help your brain as you get older.
I'm planning a YouTube video on the benefits of creatine in the next few days. Getting some research done right now.

I've read about the benefits of creatine, but doesn't it cause water bloat?

What about something like Hydrolyzed collagen in anything liquid (coffee, tea, smoothies)? That could be a way to boost protein. It's also supposed to be good for healing the gut/skin/hair.
It might further blunt appetite, though. |

I would think the easiest way would be having a protein shake daily as a between meal snack or maybe at bedtime.
Another idea -- maybe you aren't digesting the protein so always have digestive enzymes with meals. I usually buy Trader Joe's just because I always shop there. I have never been able to eat a lot of protein. I occasionally will buy game meat on sale at Sprouts. The elk and boar are delicious. I never liked venison -- too gamey. Supermarket has bison on sale and I may buy it. I just can't eat a lot of red meat every day even if I take digestive enzymes.

Even though this isn’t about diet for weight loss, it is still a diet thread so I am closing it here.
