I bought a bootleg Taebo tape off a street vendor in NYC in 2000. For a while it was just Taebo tapes, then I started branching out and somehow found VF. No longer did I feel like I was alone! So many VFers have gifted me with workouts and feedback. I can't believe it's 23 years and counting.

Improvement is a relative term for me...I don't have search functions working or new posts.

I can at least READ VF and can post (right now anyway). So I post in spurts as if I'm a misbehaving toddler escaping out of my timeout corner

I'm thankful that VF is still here. From the time I joined VF years ago, I met so many amazing people online and in person. We used to meet up at fitness conferences (Greg Twombly's CIA, AAAI and others), and had local get-togethers (in NYC, Boston and elsewhere). The kinds of friendships I've formed through VF are unlike any others.

I've been sad lately about how nothing lasts forever, and I guess I can't expect VF to last forever either, but I wish it would!

I've told the story a number of times but it bears repeating. There was a tarot site/forum that went on for many years. The person who ran the Forum got busy with life issues and chose to close the Forum down.

This person gave all the members plenty of notice. And all the reviews of the tarot decks and other information are still up there for people to continue to learn.

That's the way to treat your members with respect and bow out gracefully!
