It's a Mad Mad World from the 70's
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind
Eves Bayou 1997
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (the very first art I loved, watercolor cartoon background that resurfaced as art journaling 40 years later!)
Your top listed movies, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Being John Malkovich, are the first movies that came to mind for me when I saw this thread! Both are very unique films!

I think Tom Hulce is semi-retired. I’m not sure if he still does, but he used to have a place next to a friend of mine.
What a talented man!

Music documentaries. Makes me think of Scorsese's Shine a Light. The great Rolling Stones documentary.

If I Leave Here Tomorrow. Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary. Tragic. Terrific music.

No one IRL can answer this, maybe you can. There is a Doris Day movie that I’m trying to figure out. Midnight Lace is ringing a faint bell. The movie begins, I think, with her running through thick fog, trying to escape someone. Maybe it’s later in the movie, but at some point she’s running through thick fog. Any ideas which movie? This has bugged me for years!

Yes, Midnight Lace is the movie. That is the opening scene. Also stars Rex Harrison.

I love movies...I quote movies all the time! But I can never come up with a satisfying list for threads like this!

First that come to mind:
The Truman Show (I love this one so much!)
Megamind (fave animated movie)
Sabrina (Harrison Ford)
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
Notting Hill
While You Were Sleeping

I know right? lol I get bored so easily and my fav movies are the one's well acted plus you could never ever guess what's gonna happen or how.

If you like those two, check out The Lost Room mini series (free on Tubi - the best riveting, heart pounding action strange yet realistic show I have ever seen. Right up there with ESOTSM and Being John Malkovich.

Jeannine, we recently rewatched Midnight Run in memory of Charles Grodin; his movie that I would rewatch anytime is Seems Like Old Times.

Pat, I'm with you on the Godzilla and TCM love!!!

cybersparkle, although The Twilight Zone series isn't a movie, DH & I seek out TZ marathons and can definitely watch the same episodes over & over!

Loulou, I actually looked this up recently because DH & I were talking about watching Amadeus (neither of us has ever seen it). He decided to get out of acting to focus on stage directing/producing. (Also, I could watch Silence of the Lambs over and over.)

I could watch virtually any of my favorites over and over, especially the ones with great acting/dialogue. A lot of mine have already been mentioned, but I'll highlight some categories.

CLASSIC MOVIES
The Philadelphia Story
Holiday Affair
(highly recommended if you need a new Christmas movie!)
virtually anything with Cary Grant
any of the 3 original Star Wars movies

PAST 20-30 YEARS
Galaxy Quest
Pleasantville
(an awesome underrated movie if you've never seen it)
Lars and the Real Girl (in part b/c it's one of DH's favorites)
Groundhog Day
Independence Day

MOST (but not all) of M Night Shyamalan's movies, but especially Unbreakable, Signs, and The Sixth Sense

I'm sure there are other favorites that I'm missing!
