I just finished Taste My Life Through Food by Stanley Tucci. He’s a little arrogant and bit of a name dropper, but it was a very good entertaining read.

I just started Jodi Picoult's newest book. I'll update later. The title is "Wish you Were Here."

Sherry, I've never read anything by Jodi Picoult. Do you recommend a particular book to start with her?

I am making my way through Joanna Schaffhausen's Ellery Hathaway series. It is so good. The characters are really superb and while the plot covers some gruesome topics, it doesn't seem overly violent or disturbing to me.

Prior to this I read the latest Craig Johnson Longmire book, Daughter of the Morning Star, which was excellent.

I'm still reading The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman. I'm reading it slowly because it will be the last book about the Owens family, which makes me sad. The author said there could very well be a series based on the books, but if there is, I'm sure it will be on Netflix or Hulu or something.

I will think about it and then make a suggestion.

How is it December? Where did this year go? On the plus side, I've already met my book-reading goal for the year, which is fun. I'm not all that serious about it, but I guess I'm curious to find what my average actually turns out to be over time. I've gotten to where I don't keep track of re-reads as closely as I used to, but still. For me, re-reads are mostly bedtime reading, since I tend to stay up too late with new books.

Currently reading The Goblin Emperor again.

Decided to get myself a copy of the Stephen Fry narrated audio book cds of HP/Order of the Phoenix. Expensive, but a nice treat that I know I'll keep enjoying.
