That's what motivated me to buy them! I don't use bands wirh handles often though.

I've had one slip off my foot while trying to do a seated leg-press type of move. Hit me in the forehead above my glasses. Hurt like heck! Had a lovely bruise for a day or so.

Ouch... I heard you! I was once doing the Stretch Max the one with the Pilates band, and it slipped off of my foot while doing a lying leg stretch, it hit me on the chest, I had a red line all across of my chest (décolleté area) and it burned!

I have the safety glasses I wear to the range.

I bet those would work. I had a band snap and break on my last night but it was lower body and nowhere near my face.

If you do a Google search there are numerous articles about folks being injured by snapping resistance bands.

Here is a recent one:

I use the Bob & Brad wall anchors and I would think that would start to wear a band out after a while. I love the anchors though and use them a lot.

I had a similar encounter but mine hit me across my glasses. Fortunately no more damage than an uncomfortable bruising of one eyeball, black eye, and glasses were knocked out of alignment.

I now do a wrap around my foot to lock the band in place to keep it from slipping off foot.
