How cool!! I remember loving his stuff when I was a lit major. Looking forward to being able to travel/explore in that part of the world.

"Young Goodman Brown" is a classic and one of my favorites from decades ago. We're skipping some of the longer stories "The Scarlet Letter" and "The House of the Seven Gables", so we can read more of the shorter stories. I've been enjoying everything I've read so far!

It's Nathaniel Hawthorne's Birthday coming up (July 4th) so we might head up to the Salem or Concord MA area, where Hawthorne lived.
Very fun!

Hey, thanks to those who mentioned "The Maid". I was lucky enough to get the audio version from the library right away and I'm already halfway through it -- really enjoying it.

Not Dancing Queen (love that name!) but I read it and liked it a lot. Lots of interesting history.

Currently reading Millard Salter's Last Day by Jacob M. Appel.

Recently read:

Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez (very timely)

Hurricane Girl by Marcy Dermansky (not my usual genre but it kept me engaged until the end. very strange book though)

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Heal from Distant, Rejecting, or Self-Involved Parents (sigh...mother, MIL, FIL...)

No Cameras Allowed: My Career as an Outlaw Rock & Roll Photographer (coffee table book with some amazing concert photos)

I just started Miss Austen by Gill Hornby. It's going to be adapted for a series.

What's really sad is how many holds there were on this title. I had to wait forever for it. I feel bad that this is a problem for so many of us.
