Went Back to What Got Me Started & Motivated

I've been trying to be consistent with my workouts, and for the most part I am. But this morning I needed motivation.

I pulled out FIRM Volume 1 w/Susan for the first time in probably 3 years. Just the music alone got me motivated and might I say, a bit emotional. I was only able to make it through the first half with moderate weight. I will leave the floor work for another day.

I feel a good kind of "weak" in all my muscles. Something I needed. I am thankful for all the great chaptering FitFavs put into the re-mastered versions.

I am so happy I dusted this one off? What workout brings you back to being motivated?

Good for you!! As long as I still enjoy the workout, who cares about the outfits, right? This past summer I stopped doing all streaming and just gave some love to my DVD's. It was so much fun to revisit some great workouts. Yes....the same ones that got me motivated and hooked. We all need to do that once in a while.

Congrats on getting re-motivated! The Firm gets me motivated, too, as they were the workouts that really got me started on my fitness journey.

They can feel like old friends for sure!

I have enjoy Firms but what always feels like 'home' to me are my Tamilee, Taebo, some CIAs and Crunch workouts. Like autopilot but invigorating

Glad you got that feeling

Maybe that's what I need to do. Just dig out my old "fun" workouts.

Tina, I am so glad you are enjoying exercising again.

Older workouts had more of a fun factor to me. Newer workouts seem to be mainly HIIT and drills. No offense to anyone who loves them!

The Firm! Plus Christi Taylor, Amy Bento, Kathy Smith, Jari Love, and Cathe. But mostly, the Firm. Something about them making it such a big production makes me think I should get in on all that fun.

And Sherry is so right -- older workouts just had more of a fun factor! Even the music, outfits, and backgrounds were more fun.

I agree. I love Hiit & drills, but need fun cardio workouts too. I will never part with my Christi's and Amy Bento's.

I really never need motivation to workout, but the variety of You Tube and my dvds get me excited to workout. I love previewing YT workouts on my phone and doing one when I get home from work.

Congratulations Tina! I’m partial to older workouts too! I’ll always have a soft spot for the Firm and the original T-Tapps.
