Kanopy

Beginnning July 1, my library will add Kanopy to their line up of streaming content. There is a Roku app for Kanopy and the service offers indie films, documentaries, classic films, educational titles, TV series and even some fitness titles. So, check it out at your library!

There's lots of the Great Courses titles, and historical TV content! I am very interested in these!

No, the Hoopla titles are more mainstream. You can go to Kanoply.com and peruse the titles.

Kanopy is probably the best streaming service that hardly anyone talks about. It's all videos, and much better selection than Hoopla (which I only use for music). You get ten credits per calendar month and every month there are some credit-free films. There are classic films, foreign, indie, tons of documentaries, Great Courses, and they just added some Jane Fonda workouts.

I watched "What Maisie Knew" over the weekend. Excellent acting, 2012 American drama, worthwhile .

Thanks Helen, I have never heard of this. I will have to see if my library carries it.

We recently watched "What We Do In The Shadows," a mockumentary about a group of vampires sharing a house together in Wellington, NZ. It was very funny (and since has been turned into an FX series, which I haven't watched yet).
