I finished another Carrie Bebris Mr. & Mrs. Darcy series, and now I've started Emma, which the last book I read was based on.
Btw, if you sent me a friend request on Goodreads, can you let me know here? I don't always recommend everyone's names.

I just finished a book of short stories, "Scouting for the Reaper" and really enjoyed the book. Usually I don't like short stories. I also read "Starfish" (a middle school novel) and liked it a lot. Now I'm reading, "Adult children of emotionally immature parents : how to heal from distant, rejecting, or self-involved parents." It's good so far. Erica |

Am asking for some recommendations for a couple of young adults looking for some good and fun reading.
A YA series? Preferably fiction, although not quite ready for Brando Sanderson series. Long ago they enjoyed the Divergent series… also loved Harry Potter. They are older now and I have been out of touch with any YA. TIA |

Did they ever read The Hunger Games? How about The Giver books? The Maze Runner series was pretty popular, though I didn’t care for it. I loved The Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix (starts with Sabriel) The Thief series (Megan Whalen Turner) Neil Gaiman is a great author but I seem to love or hate his stuff. (But the ones I love are Neverwhere, Stardust, and The Graveyard Book). Diana Wynne Jones is classic fantasy. Have they ever read the Howl’s Moving Castle trilogy? She also has The Dark Lord of Derkholm, which I think is so cheeky and funny. It basically satires epic fantasy. Speaking of epic fantasy - you can’t go wrong with The Hobbit and LOTR (The Hobbit is an easier read). Marissa Meyer’s Cinder (and sequels) was good! Fairy tale-ish characters in a sci-fi setting. |
