She wasn't in the The Hollow Crown either. That was how Henry VI referred to her and he wasn't "all there" .

Weirdly, I had actually seen the play as a student in London many years ago but remembered nothing of the plot
I read The Woman in Black a few years ago, but I've never seen the adaptation.

Yep, I just renewed my kindle unlimited and that’s how how I came across it! (Quite often the free books recommended aren’t that great, but this was really interesting!)

I just stayed up way too late last night so I could finish Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.

It's not one I'd have picked up at first glance, but a copy was gifted to me for my birthday by a librarian friend. So very readable!!

Just don't try to convince yourself that you need just another hour to finish it (all night long). Yawn.

I am almost half-way through this one. It was so sad yesterday, I didn't think I would be able to finish it, but things are looking up at the moment.

This was how I felt about her first book, Let's Pretend This Never Happened. Some parts were terrific but others seemed forced.

Yes! I read that one a while ago and hated it so I'm surprised I even picked this one up. Maybe this one is better or maybe I just clicked with her more this time but I definitely enjoyed this one much more.

Started reading the doorstopper Shogun by James Clavell this weekend. Apart from the appalling violence and racism, it's quite a page-turner!
